Are you still stuck? Whenever a screen freezes a restart is usually the trick (I imagine you did that before posting though)
What type of device do you have and have you tried reinstalling the app or clearing it's cache in the app settings? If you synced up your game to Google/Facebook/Apple you can safely delete the app and reinstall it without losing progress.
