What do I do if I'm out of contracts and coins and can't play any challenges?

My son started playing MUT.  He has got into a situation where he doesn't have enough coins to buy anymore contracts and a bunch of the contracts are expired on his roster so he can't play any games because he doesn't have enough players.  We are stuck and don't know what to do.
