A non-destructive step you can try is to boot your PS4 in safe mode and then choose option 5 - Rebuild database:

I followed the steps on the PlayStation support site and I'm still getting the error when trying to play a game in franchise mode on madden. I contacted PlayStation and they told me it's a publisher issue since other games are working fine. Really annoying.

I am getting this error as well, and EA is not doing anything to help. This is ridiculous, and I find it odd that the only way to correct the issue is to "Initialize" the PS4.

Initialize step didn't work for me either. This is absolute trash!

I've initialized twice. Uninstalled and reinstalled three times. EA told me yesterday over the phone that it's an issue because the game is so new and the issue should be resolved in 48 hours and to contact them again if I'm still having th issue. They told me this only after telling me it's an issue with Sony which it clearly isn't.

That does not help the issue, is anything being done about this...its happened over 20 times to me already and is costing me games and my ranking.

Same for me,  I can't even get through Pre season in franchise,  So annoying.  

My console is perfect with every other game.

I am getting the same thing on Madden 18 Franchise mode. I can not get through pre season I have deleted the app and re installed it. Took me two hours to get through my first game and now it does it every time through my second game made some good trades so can not start a new game. Please help me resolve this.

Yeah same here man I'm trying to edit the roster and gives me this CE 34878-0 * EA needs to step there game up
