Since New Update My Family Disappeared And Can Not Make New One

Ever since the new update that we got a few days ago, my Sims 4 has been messing up. At first, the game would not let me place anything and kept say "Script Cals Failed". I looked up some videos and I was told to remove my mods and repair the game. I was told to remove my Sims 4 file and then put it back in on finder after repairing. I did this and the game repaired and let me place stuff now. But my family was gone. I took it in stride although I had been working on the family for like 2 months. I gave up on getting them back and decided to start over with a new family- same concept. But every time I make a new family, save it, and then come back the next day- it is gone. I have made the same person, and I check by leaving the Sims 4 game and then going back in to make sure it is still there, and then the next day, it will be gone. What do I do? I have never had any issues with the updates before. Are you able to return my original family? And if not are you able to make it to where I can save a game and keep it.
