Need to free storage space!

Sims 4 is taking up 36 gbs in my mac. Can I delete it and download it again to free up space and will it let me resume my game progress?

If the game takes up 36GB, it will take up 36GB if you uninstall it and reinstall it, it will not magically get smaller.

Your game progress is stored in saves files in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > saves.
