Game Cannot find Save File

Hi. Was having a ton of fun with the game. Went to play it a couple nights ago and my save is gone. Exploring my appdata folder I can see the save file. How do I force the game to use it? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Can't help but think that if it was fully using steam features and steam cloud I could just redownload it no problem. There does not seem to be a way on origin to force a cloud sync.
