Principles of the game design vs Caustics gas

To address teammate debuff while in the gas, teammates could go up to Caustic and hold x or e (console or PC) to take a gas mask from him. It would appear near where you see your armor and helmet and it would have a health bar. The bar deterrioates after a certain amount of time spent in Caustic gas (yes this would apply to friendly and enemy gas) maybe 5-10 seconds. Then when it runs out they would have to go to their friendly Caustic to grab a new mask. In my opinion, this wouldn’t break the principles of the devs with regards to abilities affecting everyone equally, and it isn’t a “get out of jail free” card to be immune to gas for the whole game. There would be a cooldown on grabbing a mask from him so you can’t just run in to an enemy Caustic ult and stay next to your Caustic and spam the button to grab a new mask, and would still allow for your team to get some damaged on slowed enemies in the gas and leave the radius of the gas before they were affected.

 

An addition to his passive could also be made, where he holds charges of syringes which he can hold x or e, and with a short animation, inject his teammates to increase their time of immunity in the gas. Both of these additions would encourage communication between teammates. The syringe charges regenerate over time and it’s effect lasts only a certain amount of time from when Caustic inject them, unlike the masks which have an effect timer that counts down only while in gas.

All legend abilities that do not self target currently can harm/benefit both allies/enemies. This needs to remain a core mechanic because it encourages smart play and punishes bad play

i think that would just make it like shooting fish in a barrel for enemy blood hounds having to clump up in a already tight spot is just a bad idea

Tell me another hero that actually slows and blurs your teammates' vision. Bang,s smoke only half blinds and does not actually blur. Get this off your copy paste please

caustic is no more annoying than when your playing with a bagalore that gets shot at and panic smokes half the map giving the enemy bloodhounds a * or when you get the drop on an enemy and you get smoked even if you where just about to drop same said enemy. or when you get gibralter that wants to drop his shield in every battle blocking your shots and letting the enemy team close in with there peacekeepers because you cant see thru the hazy neon blue hell you have just had placed upon you

No, it just makes you lose track of enemies in the middle of a fight and makes the fight a playground for any Bloodhound with an ult and a brain. All the legend abilities can hurt OR help a fight. It's up to the players to learn how to use them to their advantage.

Bangalore smoke - restrict vision. Bangalore got non smoke utility passive and non smoke ult.

Caustic gas - restrict vision, slowing teammates, blurry their screen. Caustic got gas passive, gas active, gas ult.

You can't compare them, stop this nonsense.
