I game share with my son, I bought it takes two and transferred the game to his Xbox as well like I always do. We can not play together I can start a lobby but then he can’t get online. And then he can start a lobby thrn I can’t get on. Keeps saying unable to connect. This is the only game that won’t work.

Hey @trademarc420
Can you explain what you mean transferred the game to his xbox.
Are you copying the game files over?
It takes two and it takes two are 2 different games/files and link different to your account.
If you own the full version, you should install the friends pass on your sons Xbox.
Then create a lobby on your copy and invite your son, he should be able to join your lobby now.
It takes versions:
- It Takes Two - Full copy

Did that last night. Deleted his game and installed friends pass version. Same thing.
so frustrating that I paid for this game and we can’t use it

Hey @trademarc420
Understandable that you are frustrated.
Can you give me the steps in detail of the steps you do to play together?
Do you get an error code of what happens when your son is trying to join your lobby?
March 2021
Yep so I bought the digital it takes two on series x. I then transferred it like I do with every game cause we game share and my internet is p fast..
I can start a lobby in my Xbox but then when my son tries to join it Keeps saying unable to connect to ea servers
Result code 103-2d0001
so I get him to start a lobby when I’m not in one and it’s fine but when I try to join it Keeps saying unable to connect to ea servers
Result code 103-2d0001
so I deleted his game last night. Spent 8 hours downloading the friend pass on his Xbox and still same thing...
he now has the friend pass version and I have my purchased copy and still same.
I have restarted my internet, did hard resets on xboxes and cleared cache still same. And Xbox won’t give a refund on my game that doesn’t work

Hey @trademarc420
Don't need to refund yet, let's do some troubleshooting first.
100% understandable you are frustrated you cannot play the game.
First things first, the age on your son's account above 13 years.
The game is rated for teens (age 13+) so make sure that is the case.
After you verified that the account age is above 13.
Try some connection troubleshooting/opening ports.
You can find a full troubleshooting guide in the link below:

Let me know if this worked!

I’m not sure what your talking about, my sons account is my account. We game share. He’s never had an issue in the last 5 years playing any day games. He logs into apex no problem.
i have two connected Xbox live accounts on my EA profile. And it’s says under household 1 adult.
anyways none of these things will help. I’m just going to delete game.

Also we played A WAY OUT together with no issue

Hey @trademarc420
You need 2 different EA account to play together, that's why your son is getting that error message.
You cannot be logged in, in the same session with the same account.
If you create an EA account for your son and link it to an Xbox account you should have no issues.

We’re playing a way out right now
