Guardians - Safety Volunteer Helpers of AHQ [ Edited ]

Hello everyone!

Answers HQ is made up of thousands of users across nine languages, with thousands of discussions and opinions given daily. With such a huge community, its important to ensure everyone feels welcome and safe within our boards. 

The Community Connections Program recognizes and acknowledges users who are determined to keep discussions on track, appropriate, and friendly with the role of Guardians.

This rank comes with some special advantages beyond a regular user including:

• Ability to assist with moderation activities on Answers HQ
• Ability to add a signature to their posts, to add their flair to any thread they post in.
• Direct communication access to the Answers HQ team on Slack
• Access to private Social areas on Answers HQ - The Glade

But why?

We want to recognize users who are good influences within the Answer HQ community, showcase them to our community, and make their posts more visible. We expect all of our users, including our Guardians, to exhibit a common level of courtesy on Answer HQ and other EA platforms, towards all members of EA communities. Failure to comply could lead to removal from the program.

Answers HQ Guardians

Volunteer Moderators of Answers HQ Communities

Guardians:

Are our safety brigade party of the  Community Connections program.

Guardians are the positive influences of our community who are recognized for their endeavors to keep discussions on track and appropriate for the boards.

How to become a Guardian:

Guardians are selected from suggestions made by EA staff or based on their behavior and contributions to the community on a monthly basis.

Nomination review occurs monthly and users selected as Guardians are DM'd soon after.

To be eligible for suggestion a user must meet the following criteria:

• Minimum 100 posts on Answer HQ
• Active on AHQ for over a month
• No moderation activity against their account on the forum, or their game account.

Considerations for Suggestions:

To improve your chances in getting suggested:

• Be active in the community
• Be a positive voice within discussions
  • This doesn't mean you have to be in agreement (or side with EA) in all discussions
  • Ensure your answers encourage good behavior in accordance to the Answers HQ rules

What Guardians Get:

In addition to the items listed above Guardians get the following privilages:

• Special "Guardian" badge for your profile
• "Guardian" Title for your profile
• Access to the Social board "The Glade"
• Additional Answers HQ custom options (signature and profile picture)

Answers HQ Guardians (Retired)

In-active Guardians - Immortalized Forever

The special place for resting Guardians. Should a Guardian either decide to stop participating, or step away for an extended period of time, they will be moved to these inactive roles until they decide to return. If they choose not to, their answers will be forever immortalized with this special status.
