rings are *. if you get caught in one you cant out run it and the damage it does is so insane you cant even heal through it. I get you guys want to prevent people from camping it but it has to be liveable if you end up in that situation. if your in a gunfight and the ring is close your screwed so you lose out on actually playing the game there if you get downed and revived near the ring dead, if you jump far and the ring pops up on the other side of the map, dead. its *. like yeah you dont want to camp it, but you got to be able to have a chance to get out of it. it kills the game more then it keeps it moving forward, fix this. its disgustingly bad. it ruins the game more then anything!

The Shadowfall event really changed the way I play. Because the best strategy there, to ensure you make the dropship, was to land in the circle and go straight to the dropship location.
But I've certainly done my share of loitering around in the boondocks of the outer circle. Apex, though, is a game of combat and movement. So you do need to balance those two things. If you scavenge too much for loot, or if you don't move and get caught by the circle, then the lesson is there to learn. You have to develop attributes of self-discipline and alertness in order to navigate the map and make quick decisions that will affect the outcome of your match by putting yourself in the best possible position for combat.

Bravo, and well said. If you drop around the edge of the map and then discover that the next ring is on the other side, you shouldn’t be looting 100% of that area, particularly if you had to fight there. As soon as the next ring location is revealed, a decision needs to be made about position and movement. It may be more strategic, and intelligent, to move first and engage later. You’ll be waiting on those that lingered too long and are racing to escape the ring.
Some players are complaining about this dynamic. The smarter ones are utilizing it.
