There was mention few patches back about not buffing The p2020 and Mos because you wanted to game to have a "curve" so the weapons get better over the course of the match when upgrading parts.
Just wondering if you played Apex before saying this? Because i want to know where the is curve when you get a P2020 and your opponent has a Peacekeeper arguable the best weapon in the game? Sure the purple make the peacekeeper better but barley you can wreck with a normal peacekeeper. When the damage output is so vastly different how is that curve of weapons? To me that so random luck vs curve.
With this said you should either buff the those weapons to make them more in line with like every other weapon.
Or
I think you lower all the weapons time to kill to be about the same in the early game and then make the upgrades change the time kill speed. So that maybe lowering damage of some weapons or reducing rate of fire or something.
This would make the game have the weapons curve that you were talking about and less of the RNG luck.
*Side note* you should do somthing about the peacekeeper and wingman that fact that 90% of the player uses these weapons or looks for these weapons say something about the balance of them.
TLDR
Should normalize weapons time to kill for early game and make the upgrades increase the time to kill to add the "weapon Curve"
Or increase the P2020 and other lower weapons damage to bring them in line with other weapons early game.
Side note Wing and Peacekeeper need some changes considering 90% of the player base looks for and uses the weapons.

- BR is like that. It's all around RNG factors from circle, weapon to loots. But Luck comes to skilled players more often.
- Normalize time to kill damage in early game is a ridiculous idea. There are many ways to avoid early fights until you got a decent weapon, but don't expect P2020 to be as strong as Peace in early game.

You Nerf Hearders and your lower weapons, What's the point in having the same thing that looks different go play Borderlands 2 that game EVERYTHING is the same only the numbers change with the level they didn't even try to have morphing models etc

I under stand that BR is like that luck of finding stuff, but if you look fornite and Blackout the Time to kill for all the weapons is about the same. The only thing the upgrades do is rate of fire or reload speed or recoil reduction. Time to kill is about the same even after fully kitted. They don't have 3 super powerful weapons that you can get from anywhere kill everything, The fact the people would rather use the Peacekeeper and wingman over the gold Crab or the mast says something.
Why is balancing out the the weapons so that time to kill is the same a crazy idea? wouldn't you want this game to have more skill to it less RNG luck and hip spray?

@ARMED_N_H4MERED I wholeheartedly agree. I'm not asking for all guns to be exactly the same, but to have such a MASSIVE gap between weapons is rediculous. Why are they even nerfing wingman and spitfire if they want this power gap? It doesn't make any sense. I guess they just want this game to feel like a poker machine, you win just because you got lucky.

I dont know if you have noticed, but the p2020 does about the same damage per shot as the r99. The only difference is RoF and magazine size. you can easily knock someone who hasnt got armor yet in under a second with the p2020. The mozambique can 2 shot an unarmored target if one of 3 shots hits the head, and alternatively if you hit all 3 pellets it does 15 more damage than punching, letting you shoot twice, punch once and knock someone.
The curve being referred to is exactly what you are describing and calling random luck.
You have low tier weapons which are better than your fists if you can aim with them, but you want to swap them out asap. You have medium tier weapons, which are better than the low tier weapons if you can aim with them, and can run ok for most of the match. Then you have high tier weapons, which you want to have by the end of the game. If you survive, you are guaranteed to come across plenty of high tier weapons by the end of the game, and even somewhat likely to come across "god tier" weapons.
That's the whole problem. The guy making this post can't aim. It's the usual "I died, you need to change the game" post

1) I can aim just fine, I win about 5 matches a day with playing for a couple hours. So don't need you to be toxic because I am making suggestions.
2) What you miss with r99 vs p2020 comment is I am not talking pure damage numbers. What i keep mentioning is Time to kill. Yes the p2020 and the r99 have same damage but r99 time kill is way faster. Just like the time to kill with peace keeper and wing man is way higher then any other weapons in the game (even faster then crab).
So what im suggesting is balancing out the time to kill of all weapons to be roughly the same, until you add attachments which would change the time to kill to be faster but that point your fighting with people better armor so it should feel the same as early game.
This way its not a instant loss if you come a cross someone with particular gun give you a better chance.
I am just bring this up because the DEVS said there was a curve and i don't see it. I was wondering if they can explain it as well as i am give suggestions to make the game have a curve like they mentioning. There is a item curve for sure in other BR games like Fornite, Blackout and even firestorm.
but if they want it to be RNG luck thats fine i play and win as the game stands now.

Okay fair point, so if this is way they doing the "curve" that's fine i think its unbalanced. They need change the frequencies at which high tier weapons appear.
Tier 1 - P2020, Mos, etc
Tier 2 - powler, scout, etc
Tier 3 - Wingman, Peacekeeper, r99, nades, etc
Tier4 - Crab and Mas
So as it stands right now i can find tier3 weapons all the time pretty early. In fact i see The wingman and peacekeeper more then i see p2020 and alts. So if they are going with kind of gun curve they change the rates at things spawn
T1 all the time you find these more than ammo and nades
T2 slightly less then t1
T3 should be pretty rare like lvl 3 armor
T4 i think the drop rate on these actually spot on.
