Not enough body shields of higher value to even make this game worth playing.
if you don't drop on top of a good shield the only real way to get a better one really is to kill someone who already has the advantage over you.
its far to rng based from the beginning for me to enjoy it... You just drop onto a full purple shield well that dude next to you who also just dropped who cant even find the gun the ammo he just picked up goes to has no chance. the guy who picked up the gun and ammo has a slight chance but the fact is the shields are way to much.
Never thought id say. i don't like this game anymore because its basically "do you have a good shield" "no" okay "better camp"
There is no way you're gonna win no shield/first shield vs gold/purple/blue unless that person just straight sucks.
imagine a game w/o rng deciding the wins. That's the game i and many others wish we had. That rng based * is what kills this game for me.
As Dr Disrespect has said many times i'm just shooting shields all day! Y'all need to either increase drop rate of higher tier shields/lower drop rate of higher tier shields to make it more balanced so that by 10 mins into the game no-one should have an actual advantage over anyone else based on shields alone. to which this is definitely the case right now. it should be more at that point based on how much ammo/granades/health/sheilds you have picked up.. along w/ how well you're able to recharge mid fight. just straight up remove higher tier shields in general and have a simple shield on yes/no halo style shield mechanics that still would need shield cells/batteries to start the recharge. i cant wait for halo on pc because his game will never get played again especially if halo brings a br...
also iv only experienced it vs a pathfinder but i'm sure its other smaller characters too the hitbox in this game felt better the first time i played which was probably about a month ago. so something you did in the last month has ruined the hitbox horribly. to the point that it actually looks like you're hitting the player with the bullet travel but no hit damage shows. its like the tracing works but the actual detection of the bullet is sometimes broken.
also bullet travel in this game is far to deleayed/you have to lead your shot way more then whats "realistic" i understand this may have been done to stop aim hackers but tbh it feels horrible lol. if im point blank i shouldn't have to shoot slightly infront of their body in point blank situations. but in the reality of this game. you gotta aim infront of players even point blank. Doesn't feel as good as it could.

When it comes to survival the ultimate body shield is still a rock or any other solid cover. If you have bad luck finding a body shield you can always use cover to your advantage and use a weapon that keeps your enemies at arms length. If you go haring around the map across open spaces even with a good body shield you can still get melted, on PC anyway. Just saying.

there are so many ways of dealing with people that have better shield then you.
Having a high tier shield helps.
But grabbing advantige in this game is way more important then good loot.
- 3rd party
- Ambush
- Positioning
- Trapping
- Good teamplay
- Flanking
If you land 1 longbow shot on a person with a purple shield you already have the advantige with a white shield.
This game almost never has 2 teams running into eachother with fair conditions.
Almost all the time 1 of the 2 teams gets ambushed or has a better position.
And that advantige is way bigger then a purple shield over a white or blue one.
And a person with a purple shield losing to a person with a white shield straight sucks?
If i ambush you with a R99 and you have a purple shield and i have a white one.
That gun fires so fast and hard the 50 HP difference is non existent the moment it becomes a fair 1 on 1 shootout.
That is if you ever had a chance to respond.
And so many weps are situational.
In skilltown having a peacekeeper is a huge advantige.
But in cascades i realy prefere a Carbine or any other medium ranged automatic.
If the final circle is on a open field i prefere a longbow.
And after 10 min in the game if you chased gunfire and got a few kills in 9/10 games you will have some purple armors in your party.
And i have no idea what realistic bullet travel is like.
Im not a gun expert are you?
All i know is im not having problems hitting my shots becouse of travel time.
So there is no reason you can't learn to deal with it.
And yes, Hitting a pathfinder sometimes feels like hitting Neo from the matrix.
Can't hit the darn bot.
