Wraiths portal doesn’t last as long if you start or end it in the storm but Cryptos drone can sit inside storm as long as it wants. I don’t think this is fair AND that it should be the other way around so that Wraiths portal lasts longer inside the storm BECAUSE you can actually kill crypto’s drone (therefore it takes damage and shouldn’t be able to survive storm 5 forever) and because you can’t actually kill wraiths portal— seems logical.
I never noticed that crypto’s drone can sit inside storm forever until now but I don’t think it’s fair when it comes to ring 5 because it can detect you and you can hardly see it because it’s highlighted orange just like the storm.
EA...please consider changing this.

@BarryBarkerthe majority of Ults and tacticals are unaffected by the zone. The only exceptions are Lifeline's tactical and Wraith's Ult because they can be abused.
It's perfectly fair and lay off of poor Crypto when every other legend works the same.

that seems like a perfectly reasonable request. +1

@Zamaha400 So you're saying that it is "perfectly fair" that there is a orange highlight around a drone hovering at the edge of storm, scanning you and revealing your location in ring 5? I'm not here to attack Crypto-- he needs a little something more, I agree. Nonetheless, the orange highlight makes the drone NEAR impossible to see in the storm. Is it not fair to at least change the color so that its easier to see in storm so that the enemy team at least has a chance to shoot it down?
P.S.
@Zamaha400 - "It's perfectly fair and lay off of poor Crypto when every other legend works the same"
@Zamaha400 - "majority of Ults and tacticals are unaffected by the zone. The only exceptions are Lifeline's tactical and Wraith's Ult because they can be abused."
If every legend works the same then why are Lifeline and Wraith exceptions? Since abuse is the criteria...
I agree that champions whose abilities are abused in Storm should be nerved and I also think that Crypto's drone (in the situation stated) is an abuse of the ability in storm.
Please tell me if I'm wrong but don't victimize "poor Crpyto" and criminalize me as if I'm attacking him. Thank you.

@BarryBarker I was having a bit of fun with the "poor Crypto" line but I stand by what I said. We're going to disagree about the viability of a Crypto drone during the final rings so I'll move past that.
#1 I think Wraith's portal only disappears if BOTH ends are outside the drone.
#2 They were forced to nerf Wraith's Ult and Lifeline's tactical due to how they were abused when the final ring disappeared. They won't do the same to Crypto until his drone proves to be game breaking as well.
#3 You never mentioned anything about changing the color of his drone but that's fine I guess. No particular feelings about it.
#4 Crypto's drone is an advantage for the final fight but difficult to set up and not even the cheapest trick to use. Gibraltar, Caustic and Bangalore have inescapable abilities during the final ring and They still weren't as game breaking as Wraith and Lifeline's tricks.

@Zamaha400Thanks for the reply.
I understand that the original post does not directly talk about changing the color of Crypto's drone. I mention that it would be logical to use my reasoning behind buffing Wraiths portal but my intentions with this post is to not buff Wraiths portal but to somehow make it fair for Crypto's enemies to see his drone while it is in the storm because of its ability to hover in an obvious spot with a sort of camouflage affect.
Please think about the hovering affect for a second-- terminology is key. It can sit in one spot, not inconspicuous in any way and an enemy team can't see it because of the orange highlight. Hypothetically, say the highlight changes to red once it hits the storm. This would make it much easier for the enemy team to spot, if they hold enough game sense to shoot it out of the air while in cover.
To your points though
#1 I'm aware of how Wraiths portal works, which was also explained in great detail (and with specifics) by @UnwarierSquid16
#2 I agree that it shouldn't die in the storm because of it's ability to collect a teammates banner in storm also explained by our fellow community member @UnwarierSquid16
#3 Answered in opening response
#4 I wouldn't say that it's difficult to set up for someone who's familiar with Crypto. I wouldn't say that it's "game breaking" as you said, which would call for it to be destroyed in storm. Although I do think that the advantage this gives in the final fight gives reason enough to call for the color of the highlight to be changed to red so that an enemy team would have a fair chance to destroy it.
We may not agree on some aspects of this post and that's okay. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I respect that.
I'm still interested to know if you think it would be reasonable to change the highlight around the drone to red (or another color) while in storm?
Thanks for the response.

@UnwarierSquid16 It's okay. Thanks for great responses otherwise.
I agree that Crypto's ability to retrieve teammates banners while in storm is essential to his usefulness on Kings Canyon and destroying the drone is an unreasonable nerf.
I don't understand how your comment about making it easier or harder to kill Crypto's drone whether your inside the storm looking in, or inside ring looking into storm would change based on the color of the drones highlight. Although I give you props for trying to make sense of it and offering insight, I do disagree.
The scenario which supports my concern is an enemy team (fighting Crypto) inside the 5th ring should be able to see Crypto's drone in storm easier. I think that if EA changed the highlight of Crypto's drone once it is in storm would help significantly. This would work with any color, other than orange of course.
I will repost what I said to @Zamaha400 for your convenience.
"Please think about the hovering affect for a second-- terminology is key. It can sit in one spot, not inconspicuous in any way and an enemy team can't see it (or its very difficult) because of the orange highlight.

I think that this would be a reasonable change to Crypto's drone without stealing from his tactical ability.
Let me know what you think. I have enjoyed our conversation thus far.
