About the same time the Battle Pass came out I've found I've stopped playing Apex entirely and just wanted to spend a moment to reflect on why that might be.
The Battle Pass itself didn't seem to have much that was decent to unlock, but I think I found it annoying that to make any reasonable amount of progress, in unlocking these things that I don't care too much about, means I am forced to play legends I don't enjoy playing. I do not see the advantage to forcing players to do this for EA or for us.
I think it also coincided with me hitting about level 60+ where getting anything for levelling up suddenly becomes incredibly rare so the sense of achievement drops.
Equally - upon leaving the drop ship the majority of players all just drop in the same place...why is this.. because the game rewards time more than placement. Coming top 3 or first is worth hardly anything compared to time spent in the game. I've had a load of times where I came top but didn't enjoy the game at all - there isn't much of an adrenaline rush if it doesn't really matter if you come 1st or second because you get a few hundred xp difference - and of course that xp doesn't actually count for anything the higher level you are.
If you've stopped playing - did similar issues kill the fun for you or what were your reasons? Equally if you still play - what keeps bringing you back?
Cheers
BB

The more XP you Earn the Faster you Level !.
This is the main selling point right here battle pass is worthless on every cent spent.

True, knowing when a loot box was going to drop made me want to play and level up in anticipation for something shiney, but after playing for days with no rewards in sight my enthusiasm dropped as fast as the game's Twitch views and now I just play a hour or two occasionally becwbec I like the gunplay but levelling up is meaningless since the apex coins are about as worthless as most of my teammates

Yes my time spent playing the game has really slowed down. The game has peaked out in interest and player numbers... just look at twitch viewership numbers, there's no content so content creators on youtube have nothing to talk or hype about... that's what creates buzz but it's dead. The game will maintain a player base for quite awhile but that's all that will happen...i can't see the devs doing anything at this point to draw the numbers back into the game... if they can't fix bugs that's been there since day one along with horrible netcode, you can't really expect much else out of them...

The reason I left PUBG for Apex was that Apex just felt so much more polished, and it still does. It's got better flow, I get better FPS, the netcode feels better, etc.
However, I am still considering going back to PUBG and I think this is because of the lack of adrenaline. In PUBG you get a much harder punishment for dying or doing mistakes. You die faster in PUBG and there is no respawn system. In Apex it does not really matter that much if you die since the games are quicker and it does not really hurt your stats.
So, I think Apex needs to punish mistakes harder. For me part the solution would probably be a rank system, where you are matched with players at your skill level. If you die early you might loose your rank, etc. It would be cool to still be able to play unranked casual games though, like the way Hearthstone does it. In PUBG I believe they add together the stats of your team and use that for matchmaking.
My 2 cents.

I stopped playing and didnt buy the battlepass because there is no solo mode. I do not want to play with 2 randoms every game .

I quit because I'm not playing apex for gunfights. If I wanna gunfight I can play titanfall, BF or CoD for endless gunfights. Apex is a BR and the only thing that interests me is win. The sad thing is that there is no reward for winning. therefore it soon became boring for me. The only thing that kept me playing was the thrill of opening the next pack when I leveled. When I reached 100 lvl, that enthusiasm disappeared. And the game started to be completely purposeless. Also the game is no longer fun since all my friends have already left the game before me. now I play a few rounds every 2-3 days. I'm over 150lvl and my BP level was 43, so I didn't even want to complete it...

I still play, but a lot of my friends quit because of the cheaters and the ads bots.
+1 with the content & battle pass.

I have stopped playing for two reasons.
1. No level matchmaking. I have a life and can't spend 12 hours a day gaming. I really, really loved this game and I've had great fun, but eventually, I have no chance against ppl with thousands of more kills than me. I will never be anything else that average and I wanna fight people at my own level. Now, you may say I have to meet better players to become better, but that is just true if you have a lot of time to waste. I don't. I wanna play an hour or two, and have fun, not drop in a hotspot, not get a gun or shield because someone landed first, and get downed after 30 secs. That's not having fun, imho. The other day I was killed by someone with over 11.000 kills. He obviously doesn't have a life and would have killed me 9/10 times. What do I learn? Nothing. It's like starting a car race where your opponent has a Ferrari and you have a Lada 1500. And the other driver is Niki Lauda. I doubt Lauda would think it was a great challenge either. Really good players should be matched against players at their own level. So they can get better.
Solution: Matchmaking based on level and an option of "free play", with all levels together.
2. Team members quitting
Yeah. Some quit and who knows why. Because they don't get to use their preferred legend? It's just nonsense that a team needs to consist of 3 different legends. Why should it? It only creates a bad mood when you can't pick the legend you want. Let ppl pick any legend, even 3 of the same kind in a team.
And some seem to quit if their team mates are too poor or use the wrong legend. Some legends more than others seem to come out as the typical choice of poor players, hence, good players > quit game, restart.
Also, it's not so amusing to start a game with only 2 ppl in the team. It happens. Maybe players ending up solo, should get an auto invite to join another team lacking members?
