I think this is a very important question for the developers at Respawn and I feel as though this needs to be addressed at this very point in time due to players like myself who used to play every single day since release, but now not having any type of urge to want to play it. A lot of pro players have also quit the game and don't seem to be looking back at this moment in time. With this thread I want to tell the developers what myself and everyone else in the community thinks about the game as a whole and why the game feels as though it is going downhill. It is sad to see a game we all love, and a game where developers are clearly passionate about the game falling apart.
I feel as though players quit because of a few particular reasons:
- The amount of new weapons we have had since release.(we should have a lot more since apex has already passed its anniversary)
- Not really any new content (a few map changes here and there, but why take away places people like? places people don't land at should be modified into something they would enjoy landing at)
- The limitations on what is being done to cheaters, (i.e xim controllers, etc ,there needs to be more of a strict hammer on this)
- Season pass rewards, (this could still be more interesting, and once you have completed the pass, if you are level 500, there isn't any reason to continue playing unless you want more kills on your kill counters)
- Nerfs (Yes nerfs need to be done but why not buff other legends so they can compete with legends that need a nerf? Unless the legend is game breaking, this would make the game more fun by buffing others)
- A part (or all) of the store should be rotated daily (so respawn can cash out on their hard work everyday rather than once a week/event, this would limit the need for a cash grab when a new event releases, and would allow the company more passive income daily)
- We need more competitions for pro players and other players who stream Apex.(Why? because some of the biggest streamers have already walked away, that must really hurt a company like Respawn)
- Lack of constant updates (other games have weekly updates, at Apex we're lucky to get 1 a month)
- Servers (This is a big part of the game and it is what helps it run, without good servers, players (especially like myself) will hate playing because it makes it awful to play when you are skipping everywhere)
- I think this is the most important point here for a developer understanding why players really quit, we need a reason to play apex after our attention has been grabbed
- More skins/dive trails need to be added
- Ranked seems pointless to play now except for the badges, since the dive trails are no longer kept permanently after they are awarded that season.
- No way to report suspected cheaters on console via an in-game function
- Players quitting from a lobby as soon as they have joined and not reconnecting again (This feature need a second look at it)
- Weekly quality of life + server updates (if needed)
- Rage quitters need to be addressed better (they should be punished accordingly and even given a ban if need be)
A while ago it was also said by someone representing Apex that most players are freeloaders. Most people around the world live in poverty with some being barely able to afford rent, let alone cosmetics and flashy items in a game. BUT this does NOT MEAN that they do not sometimes purchase items. This should also be a selling point to players like that because not everyone is wealthy and it helps keep the games population cap up.
Please when you post, make sure that the issue you are having has not already been posted, if it has, just give that particular post a +1 xp to limit the thread spam in here, but if you have a different variation of the post, feel free to post a comment.(Please note, this thread is to help inform Respawn as to why players are quitting and what everyone's PERSONAL opinions are towards the game, it is not to add to the despair of players quitting Apex, but as to WHY they are quitting so Respawn can bounce back from this loss and continue to be successful) (Accidentally accepted an answer for the old one, sorry for the re-post for those who have already commented)

Me, as a competitive player, can tell you that pro's know what's missing in this game. They all want the game to be healthy for everyone.
It's true that the casual community is probably 95% of the entire playerbase of Apex Legends, but professional players do play this game for 8 hours/day at least. They know what's good. I would rather listen to someone who knows what he's talking about instead of casuals who just share their 5 hours per week gameplay experience. It's the truth.
Core things to work on:
The next update is actually a good step into the right direction by balancing the extreme defensive gameplay with caustic and wattson.
I personally like the steps taken by Respawn Entertainment and appreciate their hard work during these corona times.

@DaleWWilson95I think what hes implying here is that "pro players" talk to their community as well as playing the game so they have a little bit of a better understanding of what other players think as well as their on point of views on the game.

@MoNosDirtyGamingi understand that part but competitive players want the game competitive only and how thos 100 or so people see there vision is not reflecting the community, updates are suppose to improve the games QOL not make it worse everyone moved to WZvalaront even back to fortnite and its sad
