Because for many of us that's the fun, either you die a second after landing or get a gun and survive that initial chaos and ride that momentum all the way to the finish. Landing in the * end of nowhere and looting your way to the end rarely works.
I totally disagree. I have plenty of podium finishes and most of them I got when teaming up with smart players who take their time and rather avoid hotspots to begin with. You see, you don't have to be rubbish at fighting 1vs1, just because you are intelligent enough to avoid it and act with patience, in order to win.
You guys wouldn't last 10 secs in a real war.

Fastest way to learn the combat mechanics is by constantly hot dropping until you get the hang of it. No point hiding all game if you don't have the skill required to take out the last squad.

Fastest way for -some- to learn the combat mechanics is playing that way. Not everyone is able to process it like that.
I made a post about an alternate matchmaking system that I wouldn’t mind some feedback on, if any have the inclination:

by observing the behavior of the player we can form a solution to the problem
in this case the player desires to play your shooter game and likes the shooting and other mechanics, the hype and freshness and online presence of it but not the boring br aspect of it
the player has no other choice to get more of the fighting and less of the looting other than to hot drop die and leave
the solution is to create a game mode where the player re-spawns automatically and remove the downed system all together.
a standard team death match mode and a solo que mode for br would greatly mitigate this behavior as those going to team would be after team play
but another solution would be to remove the downed system from the standard br, let kills be kills , and automatically re-spawn all team mates via dynamic drop ships, and instead of last team standing it would be the team with most kills/score and the battles would get more intense the smaller the circle got.
i think all 3 modes should be added as you can tell via twitch viewer numbers this is getting stale quick

"If you wanna go for a full fight game go play fortnite, Cod, quake, unreal, this game HAS a STRATEGIC gameplay , positionning, not engaging in * spot ...(or its only me ?)"
Why do you think people must play the game your way? Let people play however they want.
Me personally, I have 2500+ kills and I dont know how many wins but at least 200, so for me, "winning" a game per se gives me literally zero satisfaction. ATM, I play for three reasons: 1: get the 20 kills in one round badge, 2: get the 3000 dmg in one round badge (have 2500 already), and 3: get the kill all members in three different squads in one round badge (have 2/3). To achieve this, I MUST jump hot and early. If I play "strategically", with "positioning" without "engaging", I will NEVER get those in one round. Simple as that.
So If you prefer to skulk around near the circle border, avoiding fights, just to get good placement, suggest that you find some like minded gaming friends and play premade instead.

Translates as, I hide until the last 2 squads fight then I try to fight the remaining squad while they are healing to make up for my lack of skills.

Their is not only one option available in a BR, stop playing the 1337 guy.

Translates into; me smart, you not so smart. And not able to read. And hiding is also a skill, comes quite handy when I kill easy targets as you.

@AMJbr0 wrote:You see the thing is, ranked match making will make everyone equal, which is the point of it. But if everyone’s equal, then how are things like 20 kill games going to happen? They’re not. It won’t be possible. If you wanna go camp and loot the whole game, great. Either hope your squad wants the same, or find a squad that wants to, or go on your own. No ones stopping you. This isn’t competitive CSGO. This is a public game. Ranks are not needed
Ranked matchmaking isn't making everyone equal. It just softens the deepest skill gaps. What is the good (or even exiting) thing about 20 kill games then it's just some tryhard weeping out 100500 casuals? On the contrary - I hope that someday we'll spectate a real challenge of skill when pro YouTubers would sweat against some hardcore players. =)))

so if you got a 20 kill game you wouldn’t feel a sense of gratification or a bit cocky?
noted.
I see you like fun.
I enjoy fun too, putting myself if insane high risk/high reward situations for the potential 20 badge is just, fun.....
