So I am level 9 (NOOB) but it seems like every match I join there is at least 1 predator in there sometimes up to 9 from the dropship and a loads of diamond players.
Surely if there is only 0.2% in the whole of the game the probability I get matchmaking with them out of 59 players should almost be near impossible? Especially since I'm level 9 no?
Can we please bring this to the attention of the DEVS? Why am I playing against pros? I just want to play with people at a similar level so i can learn and get better as WE level up. Not being thrown in the deep ends and discouraged by getting smashed at the start of every gun fight?

Are you sure you are not just seeing ‘’apex predator’’ badges for people that won a game as kill leader I legit thought they were actually apex predators for awhile lmao but i have seen real apex predators a few times either on my team or after dieing

The matchmaking seems to be highly dependent upon player population.
When playing solo I normally get matched with lobbies containing predators, diamonds and smurfs.
However last night at around 4am (GMT), I had 2 sequential matches where I was dropped into newbie lobbies.
I've not had such easy games in months; it was like playing pre-SBMM; scratch that, it was *easier* than pre-SBMM.
Ended up getting 3.5k damage in one, and 2k in the other despite being left solo by the 5-10 minute mark in both matches.
The 1st was an easy win, the 2nd was ended by another high-tier player who'd obviously got mismatched like myself.
No doubt a combination of the grand soiree event splitting the player base, combined with the off-peak gaming hours.
It just highlights how success has very little to do with skill level, or player commitment, and is instead almost entirely determined by the matchmaker before the match even begins.
tldr; SBMM sucks.

My what I wouldn't give for a game or 2 like that. Unfortunately my play time is limited during the week to about 7-10 pm CST. WHich means no low tier lobby mates except for teammates apparently. Every drop is a pretty color array of lightning at the very least with some sprinkles of predators. And definitely no 1 v 3 wins. Maybe 2 knockdowns if I am lucky. Since I am locked in Diamond IV I just play ranked and get a kill or two go back to the lobby and wait it out for the next match.
On a side note went the whole discord thing again for the fourth time since season 2 added about 15 people over the last 2 weeks to my friends list who were clicking pretty good in game. Only 2 are still playing in the course of about 2 weeks. I am going t o call it player retention of Diamond and up players is not happening, whether it is SBMM or stale game play. I am not sure. I do know those that I played with and we were having some fun games it came down to be faced against pre-made predator squads every game. I did not cue up with any friends that were above diamond 4 over the past 2 weeks, too bad. Imagine if you had a pre-made squad Plat IV and every game the champion team was a Diamond team, think there would be some uproar on that one.
TLDR: Cool that you got some easy non sweaty games
I am finding more enjoyment with my smurf account and my nephew nowadays when he is playing.
I love when a smurf level 12 Pathfinder/Wraith melts our squad. His badges clearly states he likes wiping noobs and with 200+ kills it must raise their self esteem in some fashion.
I just like playing as caustic in a non sweaty game so I can trap the crap out of a building tbh.
My nephew likes Wraith and making funky tunnels so we can roller coaster aaround the terrain.

@TheJumpingJawaI think I usually play matches somewhere around the one you described, its a mixture of new players to people with 150+ season 3 wins and like 10k ish or less kills usually and I see a diamond trail occasionally but not often theres been a few games here and there where either Ive seen apex predators and diamonds or Ive played with them on my team but it dosnt happen often at all, one day i played a match with Neenie a apex predator wraith with 400 wins and another day the first match I had for the day DiegoSaurs was my champion lmao we all just joked around like should we kill ourselves now? honestly idk how many are predator/diamonds because not everyone uses the trails thats usually how I determine it is by the trail or by the champion squad besides getting killed
Honestly Im not even mad to see diamond/predators i kinda like it so if you die you can spectate them i actually killed a wraith one day but there teammate murderred me XD i think they are just used to rushing in and getting a easy kill so sometimes they do stupid plays and mess up i usually don’t get many kills in my matches usually 1-3 sometimes 5-7 but somehow I always manage to kill the kill leader or champion lmao i think they just get too much confidence and rush in but I can’t blame them I do that alot myself sometimes you catch them offguard othertimes you get wrecked lol

It really saddens me that devs arent even replying to these kind of threads.

@Henry_Chungster7I match too predators. The funny thing is diamond, platinum players less than predators in lobby.

Im ranked plat 1 atm and every time since season 3 im getting matched with apex predators in parties of 3 as champion squad. Plat 2 i play with master and diamond 1 but once i hit plat 1, apex sends me the top 500 and I cant push to diamond. They need to fix this garbage match making system.
