I got banned for reciting an octane meme in game chat? I got banned for a week as well as got a warning that Im at high risk of getting permabanned. I tried to dispute it but I got no explanation as to why it was considered hate speech? I just finished writing a second dispute :/

@MikeydominatesDon't hold your breath, I just had my 2nd infraction of "Hateful conduct" as I was responding through textchat to a barrage of harassment over voicechat. Both of my disputes pretty much just states "No, you did say the bad word so you can't play with us no more". Mind you these 2 infractions were 6 months apart.
The escalation of suspensions is overly aggressive, I understand the 7 day initial ban to give it some shock-factor, but immediate escalation to permanent ban just seems overkill. Think I've sunk a good 1500 hours into the game on my account, not to mention the hundreds of dollars spent.

I think they should just remove player's ability to use the text/voice chat for a set amount of time, and increase with each infraction - leading to a permanent mute somewhere down the line, which would force players to use pings or something like Discord.
I'm not sure if it's being moderated already, but the voice chat also needs to be recorded and reviewed when players report, or get reported. (To get both sides, if possible, even include the 3rd teammate, incase the issue is between all 3 players).
Banning players leads to them getting more annoyed with the game and EA/Respawn, (as most here say they were responding to ruder players who spoke in the voice chat.) Which then leads to them going to the fourms, Twitter, EA help, Reddit, etc. to either get help or to complain about the bans. If they were just muted by the game, then it should be less of an issue.
