When season 1 came around, we were greeted with stat counters for season 1 damage, season 1 kills and season 1 wins. With these stats, stat tracking websites like apex.tracker could track players and rank them on a leaderboard. It wasn't the best method of tracking stats, but for people who were involved in the game it was pretty accurate if you went to the trouble of setting everything up for it.
Season 2 promised to bring stats tracking to the game, and while it did deliver on that promise for the players, it totally took away any ability to have a ranking system or a leaderboard. There are no leaderboards built into the game and you can't view other people's stats. What's more, the stats tracking websites can't pull any of the stats that we can see from our profiles.
The only stat that can be tracked right now is S2 wins, but even those are not divided between ranked and non-ranked.
Respawn should really think about either giving open access to the stats tracking API like PUBG has done, or implement some kind of leaderboard in the game itself. I just can't understand how they released a ranked mode without giving us any means of tracking the rankings besides a badge that nobody can even access yet.
