Hi there, A little about myself. Iv'e been developing games for 3 years. During those 3 years I've learned nearly everything about games and how to build them, from start to finish. I have built games more complex then yours in a few weeks time. Why is this relevant? Because you guys are raking in mounds and mounds of cash but the game is staying static. With the amount of money and resources you have the game should of had 30 different characters, a whole * load of new weapons, multiple maps and different game modes but yet other then octane its the same game it was when it was released! You have this huge platform and its like you guys are just throwing all these opportunities away and it bugs me (AND OTHERS) so bad. Please do something soon... BTW-- Congratulations on your success. Don't let it be short lived. Become the GTA of battle royale.

As someone who did his M.Sc and some post-graduate research on game design (mostly environmental and group psychology, but also an actual design technics and solutions), I tend to respectfully disagree. While Apex made on an old engine and reuses some Titanfall mechanics, it's a complex and thoughtfully balanced system of spatial experience, movement, cooperation, and conflict interactions. Every update, especially level design or a new character, must be carefully integrated into the existing ecosystem. So I think it's better to wait a little longer, but continue to get a perfectly (or near perfectly) balanced and playtested content.

If I had the money and resources I could do it. You can check my youtube channel out, theres a video of a battle royale I built from scratch in a month.. Just look my name up. Carter Manley. And never did i say it would be better, I said more complex. Which is a broad statement. To the other guy. I understand business strategy, maybe I was a little too extensive on the amount of features that should have been implemented already but from my point of view as a gamer its been repetitive for the last month and I have nearly stopped playing. Just do a google search on the topic. There are too many people feeling the same way and have been for quite some time now.

Get good, then get fast. There’s no point in churning out content when your game has bugs that need to be addressed. Just like with any other game that has been release in the last 6 years - the bugs get squashed then the content rolls out.
If you aren’t happen with their their business model then just play something else and let your wallet (so to speak) do the talking.

There is a point in churning out that content. This BR mainly got it’s success because it was viewed as a worthy competitor to the biggest game in the world currently. That game pushes out new cosmetics, content, and updates every week and players are very happy by that. Probably the main reason why it’s so successful is because there is always something new. Probably the biggest BR to ever hit the scene. And you said any game released within the last 6 years.
You don’t speak for most gamers - things get repetitive. Hence why the statistics show the interest in Apex Legends is falling quickly. Bugs aren’t as much of a priority as new content and interest in the game. I’d rather have a fun buggy game then a repetitive and boring tidy game which is a perfect description of the game I put above

30 different characters, a crap load of new weapons in just a few months? And you say you've learned nearly everything about how to build games? Firstly, No. Secondly, Ha no.
Each weapon and each character has to be introduced in a way that doesn't upset the current ballance. I'm no game designer but I was a junior software tester for 7 years communicating with the developers on a regular basis (Not for games, but business and recruitment software) so I know a little bit about how a development cycle can work.
Let's look at how much time has passed since launch. It's been a little over two months and what have we got in that time? We got a new weapon, a new character and season 1 along with some ballance changes and some much needed improvement (While still lacking in some areas) to thier anti-cheat system. This indicates that they are infact working on the game constantly. Yes it's nothing MAJORLY substantial but it's still something.
What you are asking for is practically impossible in such a short ammount of time without straight up breaking the game. New weapons and new characters need to be ballanced to fit in with the current state of the game. It's not as simple as "K we made this let's throw it out there" What happens when you do that? You get Anthem, that's what happens. Do you want Anthem? Because I sure as hell don't but hey I bought it so I'm stuck with it.
You know what three years of development gets you? You're still barely an amatuer game designer trying to give advice to people who have been making games and writing code for 10+ years. They have a much, much better grasp on developement cycles than you do, hell I'm not even a developer, I was a software tester and even I have a better grasp on development than you do because I tested software and spoke to developers every day for seven years.

Look my guy you don’t have to be a game tester or a developer for any amount of time to realize people get fed up of the same thing. New is what people and the average consumer want in gaming - the biggest BR to ever hit the gaming scene was quickly coded in 3 months and is still reigning over the entire gaming scene. The difference between Apex and Anthem is that Apex is a free battle royale game.
A new gun or addition every week is what’s happening on this game’s competitor. Sure it’s caused lots, and LOTS of Havoc. But it hasn’t caused people to quit but to join. This is far from impossible especially since it’s as big of a company as EA. The game needs a lot more new content, more interaction between the game devs and players (something which apex does HORRIBLY), and other modes so players don’t get burnt out by playing squads with randoms.
I suggest new weapons should be rolled out biweekly, characters monthly, and other game additions weekly. New content is desperately needed for the game and is not impossible with the resources EA has and what the competition has shown is possible in the videogame industry
