Based on the statistics provided by BattleNonSense comparing Apex Legends to other games such as Ring of Elysium, Fortnite, BF5, and PUBG among other titles, why do higher latency players receive special treatment?
On numerous occasion I can use short controlled bursts of fire from an R99 or 301 aiming for the head but get a body shot instead. The same thing goes for a Wingman, ADS on a red dot and getting registered body shots.
In no way should a game EVER always confirm shots without taking latency into account.

What a great day to get shotgunned through a closed door, or downed behind cover after you've been sliding behind it for 2 body lengths.

That's a thing that happens. It's called missing. However, with my current location and connection being hardwired into fiber optics, latency is not an issue for me at all.
What IS an issue, is that someone playing from halfway across the world gets special treatment because they're playing with 200 ms or more which means their latency is just as effective because the dedicated servers tick rate is so slow. I can visibly see their legends stuttering while alive and moving, and stuttering while spectating.
This is not ok. This is not something that is acceptable from a Triple A Publisher, and definitely not ok for an aspiring company to put forth as a marketable service.
