Really, you should be able to identify when people leave the game because YOUR SERVERS FAILED, and not because they just decided to leave the game. I was here just having a good time with my wife playing the game and then it happened not once but twice, trying to enter Control, the server failed and we got punished twice "for abandoning the game".
As you might already know, wait times are one of the most frustrating things for anyone, especially gamers. We're very well known for having very little patience. Now just imagine when it's over an unfair occurrence.

We don't really have any means to identify whether or not this issue is related to the servers themselves or the connection route.
(Of course another one of the causes could be on your side, so I recommend basic troubleshooting and contacting your ISP for info regarding ongoing issues)
Even if a server fails, it's hard to identify this, as there are many things that make it possible to identify it.
Certain issues might not even related to the servers going down, therefore it isn't possible to always detect every single thing that goes wrong.
They can't cut some slack on this system, as it would make it possible for other players to bypass it by doing certain things.

I think this is a legitimate concern and despite the obvious complications, deserves serious thought.
Just because you don't currently have the means, doesn't mean that those means aren't within reach or development.
Is there a proper channel here for this feedback to get through to development?
If somebody/server crashes due to a game error > create report > tell server > display correct icon for crash to relevant players.
It seems from what you've said that the reporting might need improving. I'd like to hear more about why it's too complicated to identify or even for development.
'Even if a server fails, it's hard to identify this, as there are many things that make it possible to identify it."
Sheer volume of complications never stopped any programmers/developers, in fact, it drives them to create better experiences.
This is a useful idea / distinction for Apex gamers in game.
I would also like to say - this is all regardless of peoples issues being connected to their ISP and more relevant to QOL in the game.
Citing ISP issues as the most likely contingency in 2022 is not only condescending, it's been said ad nauseum & I'm sure I'm not the only one sick of it.
It's also easy to blame ISPs for unknown issues rather than take action. I've seen plenty of companies do it & it does form the basis of a lot of frustration between customers and companies.

I think it would be fair if server crashes were detected and forgiven but I wonder though how many DCs are 100% the servers fault and how many that are fully, mainly or partly the clients fault. So many players play on unstable connections on badly built and badly performing rigs on some stolen neighbors WIFI at max range.

Thank you, exactly my point! Obviously, before writing this post, and to make sure the issue wasn't on my end, I took the time to run tests to my internet connection which came up flawless, but I thought mentioning it was superfluous as it is the obvious first step to take I would think.
If this is really their position on this type of issues, then it seems that the success they're having as one of the most played BR games of the moment has gotten to they're heads and they simply don't.... care about making an effort to provide solutions? I really hope that's not the case.
