It's great fun to kill your friends, less so to be killed by them but it's still a bit of a giggle.
In Ranked modes though where you're consistently going to see the same names, most people in my region already know who they want to eliminate ASAP with a dirty 3p. I'm not a priority target but one of my friends taking the time to come after me twice tonight when he saw my name made me think that all the kill feed showing peoples names can do is facilitate stream sniping and provide info that helps people decide how easy it will be to 3p the crew next door. This was only in gold. In the Apex Predator league it will be hellish, especially if clear frontrunners for your region become well known.
Fair enough for normal play but in ranked ideally you shouldn't know who someone is until you kill them or they kill you.
TL DR - The teams who aren't currently in a fight have all the advantages anyway : they don't need more info about who they're going to jump on.
