The TTK is fine. Comparable to other, older, arena shooters where you collect armor and equipment to boost your loadout across the time of the match, Quake and Unreal Tournament, the flow to Apex is basically the same. By the time end game happens if you're not fully kitted, with high damage weapons to strip armor down quickly, then you're gonna have a bad time.
There's so many tools to make sure you get the shots off and evade and mitigate damage that maybe TTK isn't really the issue, maybe learning more tactics and movement would be better?

Completely disagree, players should stay alive longer. The game is about knowing how to shoot, not being the first player to shoot. There are plenty of other BR that have that already, go pick one. Seriously, why do people come to a new game and ask it to be like other games that already exist. You left those games for a reason, so why are you here? Learn to assimilate.

And I'm telling you that too high of a TTK is going to be bad for the game.
Also stop making assunption because you don't like what people are saying.
No one want's Titanfall or CoD TTK but righ now it's longer than Battlefield and people are going to continue to be frustrated.
I think for me the main focus is CQC. Right now shotguns are the only viable weapon in CQC. So either buff SMGs or lower the TTK. SMGs are not a precision weapon (just like shotguns) so you should be able to down someone in CQC (optimal range) with les than a full clip.
OR here's a novel idea. Back 'back' damage be crit damage. This way flanking actually means something.

I see no problem with the TTK in this game i think the longest match I've had in this game was maybe 30 minutes so what do you want every game to last an 1 or 2? They only have what 60 players per match. So what do want out of this game?

Absolutely nothing wrong, I am sick of bad players trying to change games in order to compensate for their deficiencies.
A slightly higher ttk means you actually need to be able to maintain and track your aim on them, rather than (like cod) just hip fire spray and luckily hit 2-3 bullets that get you the kill.
People who say they "hit" every shot are just lying as I don't see shroud hitting every shot and getting turned on lol, additionally, you fail to realise, if the time to kill is high for you, it's also high for the person you turned on you, so how have they managed to kill you in one clip if you claim that it take more than a whole clip when you don't miss a shot? If I'm totally honest, It never takes more than a whole clip to kill people if I don't miss alot of shots, however it does if I do miss shots and they are good at evading.
Bottom line, just get good, all the top streamer (shroud mainly) even say they love the time to kill and the low clip size for the guns making it very unforgiving for bad players if they miss shots.

I can appreciate your (mostly) well written anwser. However people need to stop assuming that it's bad players complaining. It's quite elitist.
We have a varies skill set of players in my house and frinds we play with and WE ALL feel the TTK is too high. From what I see in the forums it's a mixed bag here as well and it would be bad for Reapawn to not acknowledge it.

I disagree with this statement. Because in reality then you are scewing the game to cater to high level players only. A game cannot surveive let alone compete with other games with only top tier players. Those player will ALWAYS have a skill advantage but a game needs to function and be fun for all tiers.
We'll see what happens.

Thanks for missing the point completely. It was about unloading an SMG in close range only to have to reload.
That' garbage CQC combat and leads to yet another game where Shotguns rule QCQ

I'll give you one example of a game that's survived that requires high skill, counter strike, so saying a game that only caters for players with good aim won't survive is just wrong.
The fact this game has been such a huge success shows that.
No need to change the time to kill, especially as they are taking feedback from all the top streamers and influencers on twitch who all say ttk is in a good place right now. I didn't even think of this being an issue until I stumbled across this post and was shocked it was even being mentioned. The game feels so good, what's the point in having armour and different levels of armour if you want the ttk so low there will be no real difference between no armour and legendary armour
