But where do we draw the lines when it comes to fair matchmaking? A "wooden-skilled" player will get destroyed by a "silver-skilled" player, just like a "silver" player will get destroyed by a "diamond" player etc etc etc. Me myself, I would say Im semi-good. Im lvl 300, 5000 kills, the 3k dmg badge etc and I can sometimes wipe out entire squads 3v1. But sometimes, I get totally outplayed and wrecked by some dude with the 4k dmg and 20kills badge etc. So based on your logic, he is "ruining" my fun and I shouldnt have to play with that guy.
Do I sit around and feel sorry for myself because I just got double Longbow headshot by a full time streamer, or do I take the loss, learn from my mistakes and bounce back and hopefully get better?
I agree that totally new players shouldnt be faced vs seasoned veterans but for the rest of you; this is a battle royal, i.e. a big pond where there probably are a bigger fish than you.

Oh stop the humble brag. We all know a person with those stats isn't "semi-good", you are probably top 1%. You are so far above bad or average players that I don't think you have any idea what this game is like for them.

You have a point here only I believe you could try making it without attacking the good players. It's not their fault.
But you are right no kid learns to play football by entering the champions league and then gets destroyed a million times with 40-0 playing against fc Barcelona. You don't learn anything from that.
So some system to separate the very good from the starters would be nice. With the huge player base this should be realisable i think.

Late as heck, I know, but I get the point he's trying to make. I had a friend start the game recently so they could jump into s3 with me, and I've watched some of their matches. it's crazy how unbalanced the matchmaking is. I watched my friend get stomped by a wraith playing at my skill level. I'm well beyond lvl 100 and he's only at 12. Maybe it's smurfs, but either way, it's a good way to discourage new players.

Whenever I get roasted by someone who is far superior to me (often), I just go into Watching mode and watch how they play, what they do, which weapons they favor, how they balance attacking and recharging. I learned a lot this way. Good luck.

Nah, it's just the usual wave of hackers Respawn intentionally ignores and doesn't deal with. Same story different decade.
