You do understand there is no SBMM in casual, right?
You just get matched with Apex Predators and level 500 people. because, guess what. THEY ALSO PLAY THE CASUAL. Of course you'll get matched against them
Answer me. How is it possible that I get one teammate who is level 30, and another teammate who is an Apex Predator, in the same game. While my highest rank ever was Platinum, so I definitely don't have the "skill" to be matchmade with Apex Predators, if there was a supposed SBMM system. But yet I get those people on the enemy teams. level 500 sweats all over the place, with 20 kills in a game badges and 4k damage dealt badges
That definitely sounds like there is SBMM, right
Give me a break
Anyone who complains about this just wants something opposite than any kind of matchmaking. You just want to get into games with noobs so you can get some easy kills and wins to boost your fragile egos, lol. You want the game to take your rank and imaginary skill and then for it to match you with people who are on the opposite end.
That's it
You can't stand playing with similarly skilled players, even if you get them by random chance, because you don't get the kills easily and can't boost your stats
So stop whining about something that actually isn't there. Or just get out, maybe the better option. At least it will mean one greasy tryhard less, less complaining about an imaginary thing.

Wait, doesn't it sound like you're speculating a little to much about skill based matchmaking and/or why some people want it changed?

I had discussions on reddit and he's actually right. Only reason I've ever gotten for "sbmm in casual bad" is that if they get farmed by preds, they also want weaker skilled players so they can farm off of them to make it "fair". If there is any sbmm in casual, it's probably the worst I've seen in a long while, but it's probably like that to reduce queue times.

It's trivial to demonstrate SBMM exists in casual; create a new account, play one match, notice the vast majority of your opponents are potatoes. In this match you'll have a good chance of getting a 20-bomb.
Notice the next match won't be nearly so easy.
Ergo SBMM exists in casual.
Alternatively, with an existing account, exploit the matchmaking bug that causes you to be dropped into the aforementioned newbie lobbies.
Not done it myself, but had a friend do it a number of times last season in order to acquire his missing 20-bomb badges.

There are dozens of videos on YouTube, I'm not going to promote a form of cheating here.
