@EA_Blueberrythe only way to get them to stay would be to incentivize the situation. But then you’re giving an incentive for someone to die and Respawn. That would hurt the gameplay for the people who care about playing the game, as opposed to increasing some arbitrary number that more or less relates to time put in to a game.
Realistically the only way to encourage someone to stay is to remove the appeal of leaving right away so you can get back in to the action.
I get that it sucks that you have to spectate a bit, but that’s the style of game and if you dont loke the style of game, then find a game that is more your style.
It’s unfortunate, but you can’t make everyone happy - so it’s best to keep your core happy. The people who came and stayed because they like the fundamental aspects that make the game what it is.

if they implement any kind of punishment system i will quit.

I agree, but AFTER THEY FIX THE DAMN SERVERS.

I have mixed feelings on the punishment aspect. While it does suck when someone leaves before giving you the chance to revive/respawn, I agree if implemented in casual play it could turn a lot of people away. Especially when factoring some leavers may be the result of game crashing and it doesn't distinguish them out... If/when we get ranked play, that's where the punishment should be enforced.

I may not be the only one but as soon as a teammate is down they just leave. . .
I vote to disable Leave Match option until the users revive timer has expired.
To overcome the close apex and open apex shortcut i suggest utilising the Online profile (the account info that is stored online only)
The server will create notes in the online profile, so once you open apex again the game will detect if the last match is still active and if the timer has expired.
The notes taken would be something like:
Match_I.D.102
Player_Status Dead
If the pings detect the match has ended the player can join the next match.
If the match is still active and the timer has not expired upon leaving, the player will have to wait till the match has ended.
If the match is active and the timer has expired then the player can join the next match.
To whitelist innocent players with genuine network issues the game will take notes of the error codes. (i assume they are store somewhere?)
If the error code happened at the time of the disconnect the player can join the next match. (there is some leniency in the time because of latency and the nature of network bugs)

Maybe if they had a ranked play system then sure people should be punished. But there are a lot of variables for why someone could leave the game. Game crash, internet outage, Pizza at the door.. Oh * my house is on fire.

Well disconnects are starting to kill the game for me....
Out of 20 games on average I get this:
1 game without a full squad from start
1 game with a guy insulting everyone on the mic (best was a lifeline insulting others for looting the ultimate suplly drop)
4 games with a disconnect during drop
4 games where a player disconnects as soon as dead (likely also went solo during drop).
5 game with teamates that don't communicate with ping... just running ahead.
5 games that are playable.
Half my wins are in teams of 2, 1/4th of my top 3 are done with an army of one (others disconnected).
Never had a teamate greyboxed (.... i've been greyboxed many times though).
