I'm getting irritated with this ranking system, and the behavior it's creating among players. Teammates will elect not to revive or respawn you if it's too risky. This is because surviving to get a top 10, 5 or 3 awards more RP than knockdowns, revives, kills, respawns, assists, etc. You get 1 RP for every kill up to a max of 5. You get no RP for revives, knockdowns, respawns, damage done, etc. However a top 10 gives 2 RP, top 5 gives 4 RP and a top 3 gives 7 RP. I just finished a match where this exact thing happened. We engaged in a fire fire with a team, and knocked 2 of their teammates down. I got knockdown, and then a 3rd team engaged. My two teammates ran and got out of there w/out reviving me. Since I knew they weren't coming back for me, I left the match and then got a 5 minute ban for leaving the match early (didn't realize).
People are avoiding firefights and reviving teammates to rank up, and it's also creating scenarios where players who get gold or platinum have not business being there. This is getting to be a deal breaker for me with this game. They need to award more RP for kills, as well as RP for damage done, knockdowns, revives, etc. This is ridiculous.

@Fitt75TBH If you are knocked or your box is being looted by a team of 3 I will probably leave you to survive because surviving is what battle royale is and leaving your teammate to try and win or place is better than risking it to die and lose a * ton of rp, especially if it is a 2v1 or 3v1. Ranked gameplay is supposed to have you change up your brute force/rambo style of playing that everyone had for casual. You're supposed to play a little more passive aggressive rather than full on aggressive. I do believe they approached ranked a bit poorly since now there is even more camping which is not an issue if it isn't something that you do all the time, but when its the final 2 circles with 15 teams left it is clearly an issue.

One of the small things they could do to provide a disincentive to camp to the end is show the summary page for the winning team at the end. Teams who get wins with 500 dmg between them and 3 kills won't exactly have any bragging rights.

People queueing for randoms and then expecting the behaviour of a premade is what's causing the toxic behaviour btw Make some friends if you want better team mates.

The suggestion to go play unranked is not an option. I liked playing ranked. It gives me something to work towards, and is fun. Ranked just adds a new dynamic to a game, and I wish all multiplayer games had a ranked mode. Once I play ranked, unranked seems sort of empty to me. if that makes sense.

The way the devs have the ranking system setup encourages toxic behavior. Expecting everybody to find people to play with on a regular basis is unreasonable. Even then, you may not get people who are good.

@Fitt75
lol?
So basically your problem is that your team chose to run instead of suicide and lose the game trying to save you?
Thats not avoiding reviving teammates, thats just being smart. The goal of a match is to win, not have every team member make it out alive. Sometimes this means letting a teammate die when you cant win a fight. Honestly what do you expect them to do, 2v3 a new team while low HP just to try to save you in vain?
This post is extremely stupid and ignorant. There is nothing 'toxic' about this situation, its a Battle Royale game, not everyone on a team is going to survive every match, thats just how BR works.
