July 2022
As many of you know already, I am a semi-retired IT person who has done most of my work with corporate security. Back in April, the young man, who attends the local university, and rents a room from me across the hall was playing Apex Legends on his PS4. I told him the game looked a lot better than the old Quake and Halo matches I use to play "back in the day". I was encouraged to sign up and I have enjoyed playing Apex with you all. I have enjoyed most of the players in this game, with the exception of those being too critical of others. I purchased a season pass and have it almost done only playing a few hours per day. I still have several characters locked, but nothing I am drooling to unlock at present. I have been playing on my Liinux PC through Steam and found the game both rewarding and challenging. After I finish the season, I will be taking a summer hiatus. You might see my return to the game in the late fall or early winter.
In my opinion, this old man still can't hit the wall 10 feet in front of him. I can't blame it on advance age or unsteady hands, I just suck at most first person shooters. I estimate I will be around for about 1 more week before there is really nothing left to do on my season pass. As the title states, this is not good-bye, but see you later.
