Its sad that I am actually becoming disgusted with the game because of this greedy vomiting act, i love the game but at this moment i am having difficulties starting it because of the TRASH behind it
This has possibly been the most heavily overpriced event i've ever seen on a game frankly, it's pretty disgusting.
I respect the fact that respawn do need to see some healthy profit margins but this was not the way to do it. They've clearly buckled under EA pressure, but hey that doesn't effect me i won't be spending a penny on this event.
"Invoking gratitude by giving out something small for free"
Like... the entire game? :S
Do some of you forget why you're playing games or something, lol.
I actually quite like some of those characters skins, and I'd have probably been willing to pay a little more money for those special boxes than for the normal ones. But "more" to me means $2-3, maaaaybe $4 (but likely not). With the existing system though it's completely out of the question for me to spend any money on this. Just not going to happen under any circumstances.
I suppose whoever did the calculations for this came to the conclusion that betting on business from people who are just willing to drop whatever on stuff like this will make them more in the long run than getting less each time but from more players. Which is ultimately good for my wallet, because as I said I might've been tempted at lower prices.
"Thar she blows!", and all that. Happy hunting, EA...
LETS GIVE EA CREDIT WHERE IT'S DUE
EA is giving us Exactly what we asked for, if you don't wont to spend 35 bucks on a heirloom item then fine, that's your free choice and I respect you for that, but why are you bad mouthing EA for giving you Exactly what you wanted, be content!!
EA is giving you the opportunity to spend your money on their Product that they don't have to provide, would you be happier if this event never happened - No you wouldn't so stop griping
This game is awesome, great Job EA love to see more Soon.
The Falcon Beta
What is even worse is that almost everyone is upset about it and coming after EA for it and they still didn't bother making a statement to calm people down and try to fix this ... they just don't care anymore
I am an older gamer and I usually will put a price tag on what I am willing to spend on a game. $60 for a good game is not out of the question so I was willing to drop $60. So far I have purchased the first two battle passes ($20) and if each battle pass afterwards is also $10 each I will buy those. But $18 for a legendary skin and this BS with this new event is ridiculous. Keep pushing and I won't spend another dime. I will play for free with what I got until I get bored or until this game goes belly up.
"Just a predatory monetisation tactic?" Yes. Yes it definitely is. This is definitive proof that until the U.S. government steps in and stops this, EA will continue to exploit us consumers, regardless if we're aware of them doing it or not.
