So, we have gone from hundreds of cheaters banned over the course of what? Two... three years? Yet, cheaters are still alting and bypassing the bans. That is to be expected, considering people are too childish to play legit.
We had DDOSing issues and now that has been addressed to where it denies the DDOSers the points they were getting from their free kills.
I have been watching closely to how people been cheating since before Season 1. In Season 1, the cheaters would use insane aimbot (perfect, snapped player to player without missing a beat), wall hacks, speed hacks, instant reviving without golden knockdown (I remember having a guy on my team who was knocked, our 3rd left after dying and I killed the squad that was fighting us. I ran over to revive them, and this guy was doing the revive animation. I hit tab and did not see a golden knockdown. When I ask them how they are doing it, they just said “don’t worry about it.”). The aimbot was so strong, no one really seemed to be using anti-recoil.
Season 2, 3, 4, 5 – cheaters primarily used aimbot (snaps to players like how a “pro” would but its more skillful than how a pro would aim, wallhacks, and some form of anti-recoil. Cheaters in these seasons (mainly after season 4-5), DDOSing was being used. Other cheaters around this time would get into pred lobbies while having a low-level bronze account. Starting in around Season 3, cheaters would be toggling their cheats off more often and act like a terrible player, which people who watched them are not buying because no one just goes from being a God to being unable to aim a weapon. Ranked also started in Season 2, and by Season 3, players can see how many are spectating them, and who. (Which ranked never says who is watching nor how many.)
Season 6-7 – I have noticed that a lot of the cheaters began to not care if people catch them cheating. Some cheaters would switch you to spectate another team after they squad wipe you, while others are teleporting and lagging more. (Which the lag switching thing has been used since pre-Season 1, except lag switching did not seem to be used a lot, until Season 3, where it was standard for cheaters who did not use aimbot. Just in Season 6-7, it seemed more common than it was prior.) Season 7 was one of the most brutal Seasons due to Horizon being heavily used by cheaters until she got nerfed.
Season 8-9 – Cheaters are still using aimbot, wallhacks, but are heavily using anti-recoil. You can get shot at by an R-99 and other high recoil weapons from any distance and die within seconds. A lot of these cheaters try to act like they are a pro, having a master’s or pred’s badge, damage/kill badge, etc. Since they are not using aimbot as much, most players do not notice that their gun is not having any recoil whatsoever. Even if you fight the recoil perfectly on your own, or near perfectly, the gun still bobs a little bit. These cheaters, and even actual “pros” guns are not bobbing at all, which indicates that there is no recoil at all.
Unsure which Season it started in, so I am going to guess around Season 3, Strike Packs, Xim, and other cheats started to get used more and more. These cheats abuse the aim-assist and allows these cheaters to move similar to a PC player, while having zero recoil and near perfect aim. Strike Packs, Xim, etc. are indeed a cheat, despite what anyone may think. I believe even Hideouts confirmed that it is considered a cheat. The primary reason why PC players want to opt out of cross-play, is due to this reason. A good portion of console players are using Strike Packs and other mods to cheat within the game.
You would think that the anti-cheat would have caught on to zero recoil and such, but nope. Around Season 3, cheaters would still use aimbot and other cheats, but at a lower setting. Instead of beaming you instantly, it took longer for them to kill you. But it is still obvious that they are cheating. After around Season 5, cheaters somehow no longer had to worry about the anti-cheat picking up their cheats. Either they are extremely skilled with bypassing hardware bans or found a flaw within the game that has not gotten patched. I am guessing both, honestly.
Season 5 primarily, and into Season 6, there was issues with players glitching out of the map, and other things that broke the game. I remember Season 5 being the start in which players were crashing the server with simple things that the Devs did not think about. I have run into a few, such as throwing a holo-spray while reviving someone. The game did not expect me to be throwing something while reviving. Another was dropping a Wraith portal directly onto a replicator and then using it. I think this one somehow glitched you inside the Replicator, and the server just stops.
So a quick recap:
Early Seasons (1-3) – Aimbot was heavily used, with wall hacks, and speed, it eventually was toned down, with speed no longer being used (or just not as often)
Mid Seasons (3-6) – Aimbot started to be used more, and anti-recoil started to be popular choice for cheaters
Late Seasons (7-9) – Aimbot, wallhacks are still “undetectable” even though its quite obvious, and anti-recoil is being heavily used to the point where you legit cannot tell the difference between a pro’s aim and an actual cheater. Some of the pros who's streams I have watched, I see them aim at someone with a Volt or R-99, with no recoil, and cheaters do the exact same thing, except the cheaters would be snapping thanks to aimbot.
Boosting has also been an issue and I would imagine that started when ranked came out.
I honestly think that another anti-cheat should be used instead, as “Easy Anti-Cheat” is not doing squat, and its primarily Hideouts banning cheaters. Which at this point Easy Anti-Cheat should just be called “Easy Bypass”, since its not even a threat or a problem for cheaters. Most just have to use a mild version of cheats or deploy some other method. Considering how many cheaters are on the game and getting banned, I am guessing that bypassing Easy Anti-Cheat is not even that hard. Maybe a system like Valorant would help. I have played a few games of Valorant and watched people play it, and not once seen anyone cheating. Two people did seem a bit off, but that was because of their character abilities that I wasn’t used to seeing or dealing with.
These days you can just Google things and find way more than you expect, and considering that most cheaters are kids, with some being teens, adults, and even “pro” streamers, it seems like all you have to do is download a file, launch it, and then hop into a game and suddenly you’re ruining the experience for other players.
I know an anti-cheat can’t catch every cheater, and some anti-cheats even ban legit players. Its just that most of these cheaters are using obvious cheats. Aim that snaps to target, aim that doesn’t have recoil, cheaters rolling in on other players that they couldn’t have possibly known about and have been pinging “enemy here” through walls, there’s even players using health hacks. I have seen someone on my team at half health during a fight, and when I noticed their health, it suddenly became full without them healing. I have also fought teams where I cracked someone’s armor, reload, and they already have their shields back, despite me seeing them the whole time and never once seeing a shield cell or battery get used, nor did they armor swap.
Can we get a more refine anti-cheat that’s more in tune with catching people using anti-recoil, those who’s input switches from PC to Controller quickly and frequently, people who snap to targets in ways no human could possibly do so well, and even catch wallhacks by detecting how accurate someone is aiming at another player through walls. Like come on, they are aiming at the player’s head most likely, and are following them through the wall with great accuracy, its not “impossible” to detect that. Though in most cases, I understand that you cannot detect the overlay very easily and those that are not being tracked cannot be detected. Its just you would think most of these cheaters would be caught and instantly banned.
I have even reported several cheating websites to EA Support, and these websites are still up and running with cheats for Season 9.
I guess cheaters are not even the top priority, and if its somehow is, either they are doing a poor job at getting rid of cheaters, or cheaters are better at bypassing. Sounds confusing, I see that. I simply mean that nothing is “unhackable”, there is always someone who is able to bypass another’s system, simply by being better or smarter at what they do. Either that, or EA/Respawn makes it too easy to bypass, and so does Easy Anti-Cheat.
Its honestly sad that people feel the need to cheat in the first place. Specially those who flaunt and go “hahaha I’m better”. Better at what? Being a loser?
This thread may not go anywhere or have any significant meaning either. I am just writing it to simply point out and catalogue the bull legit players have to put up with since the game came out. All this, and I have not even touched the leaver situation, terrible server connections/ping (which it is a joke and funny that everytime we have an issue, its “our connection”), game bugs, game crashing/coding, etc. I just hope that a system gets put into place that either patches what cheaters are exploiting, catches more cheaters quicker, or simply make it much harder for cheaters to bypass bans. Sure, people talk about phone verification, but that can be spoofed.
Whatever EA/Respawn does, I hope it deals with the issue, and not just be a “lol sorry” or a mass banning of innocent players. I mean, I keep hoping things are not buggy and if they are, they get fixed quickly. But, I have been disappointed there, but who knows.
Although, it be easier if people stopped cheating, but that’s never going to happen, because some people refuse to play legit.
Please also quit ignoring us EA/Respawn. I know you're doing something about the issue and I don't expect miracles, I just want a more fun game for all players.

You left out how EA/Respwan can't ban cheaters but can ban people using naughty words.
Because that is really the biggest joke.

@Midnight9746They need to at least start by disabling the charge rifle and spitfire... I have seen hackers with a continuous never ending tight beam on a charge rifle just completely lasering everyone multiple times ( in different streamer’s videos, not in my personal games) and I saw in TheGamingMerchant’s recent video where someone could shoot a spitfire and it would shoot like idk 5-10 bullets per second second lol
someone was spectating some of tufi’s videos and he has some oddball hacks like speed hacks, third person mode, etc and he was combining that with the spitfire hack to shoot multiple bullets in a single second
