Respawn, you're killing it when it comes to accessibility options, I admire your commitment to their robustness. Here's a suggestion for another. How about a combined controller + mouse control scheme?
This would essentially be the left half of the bumper jumper controller configuration combined with a gaming mouse being used in the right hand. It almost works perfectly right now, except for one thing.
Currently, the left stick and mouse seem to fight for control of the mouse pointer/menu cursor. As a result, aiming mostly works but is somewhat hitchy (try it, you'll see what I mean. It's easy to spot in the main menu). A toggle to disable cursor movement on the left stick seems like it would fix this. The ability to remap the left-hand buttons and d-pad would also be a nice touch.
This consolidates almost all character movement, healing, grenades, firing modes, and gun admiring to one thumb and the index finger as opposed to five fingers and a whole lot more than five keys controlling the previously mentioned on a keyboard, while still maintaining granular mouse control, aiming/firing, and a lot more in the right hand. Plus, you get analog movement and excellent, tactile force feedback since you're still using a controller. Try it out, it's so close to working perfectly right now and is surprisingly easy to get a feel for.
Is this even an accessibility option? I'm not sure. Is it an edge case? Absolutely. Regardless, it would be a pretty cool option to have.
