@RichAC, these are true and yes I oversimplified the point but I am not opposed to making the game more competitive and balanced because I agree with RIOT's definition of competitive matches. My personal experiences with the game after playing hundreds of hours is that it is not consistently able to generate balanced, competitive gameplay. Was that Respawn's intent? With the current matchmaking system I would say yes but like many I think it should changed so that the gameplay is better balanced toward competitive matchmaking. However I also would like to potentially play against high level players if I so choose.
there should be ranked and unranked queue.

I 100 percent agree with what you are saying ... I find the game really frustrating at time ..

@Senscc wrote:I worked hard to get better than the average player. Many hours in aim trainers, playing sessions in which I only focus on my positioning, my decision making, and so on. Many of hours I got stomped and now im finally at a point I can say im better than the average player. I went through all of this the "newbs" are complaining about. But I didnt cry, i trained hard. and now you people, who dont want to go through this want the easy way by setting my game back to "not better".
I dont talk around it, I trained to stomp others (not total noobs, thats boring, I agree) but to stomp the average player. My reward is im finally able to do this. So why is it unfair for you to do the same?
By the way. You dont learn as much by playing against slightly better players, as you learn against very good players. I know some people say thats wrong, but 1 hour against a chess pro will teach me so much more in depth knowledge, even tho i get stomped, than playing a bad player. Now you say, what do you learn when you die in 1 second? I tell you, you can learn A LOT. If you die, that happens quick, its the result of improvable play. Every time I die, I ask myself, how I could have positioned better, was I too agressive, wasnt I agressive enaugh, could I have swapped to my 2nd weapon instead of reloading, should I have thrown granades, AND SO ON! Just because you die quick, it doesnt mean you cant learn something from it. the whole time BEFORE you died was the reason you died, not the moment you died, thats just the result. And if youre not good enaugh with your aim, then go to an aimtrainer or go to the training area (even tho it could be a lot better in Apex, and I hope they will do that).
you can still join an unranked queue and crush noobs if they have both lobbies.

@brutusxvx wrote:The matchmaking system is intended to be a completely arbitrary and randomized process to create 20 teams of 60 players. It is meant to be efficient, straightforward, and simple, basically its a lottery.
Ultimately it comes down to this:
1. Do you want to play with players who are at or near your current ranking/level/skill level? Which would be a tiered system.
2. Do you want to play in a highly competitive game with open randomized selection based on all levels?
all real sport is tiered. you saying that aint competitive is ridiculous.

I am full on with you here , it seems really unfair and dumb to have all skill levels to be put togather .
When matching everyone without ranking system ,
noobs and new players will simply give up after a couple of failed atempts to even kill someone duo to getting killed by a player with 2000 kills . Also , this is one of the main reasons why the game ends so fast , dont get me wrong i like fast games , but its really stupid to land somewhere not crowded , and by the time u finish looting it , 20 peps left alive so u run all over the map to find someone to kill , people die so fast and one of the main reasons is the unbalanced skill levels and the lack of competitve spirit people just land and die immeditly . Plus Putting a proper ranked system will help the game on the long term for example look at league of legends , the best mmr system currently , the game has been running for years and one of the reasons beside the constant changes , is its ranked system its so good that it gives you a good motive to get better in the game to be called a “diamond player “.

Have you guys not felt that respawn has already added some basic match maker based off level and wins or something? I sure have. Opponents have gotten way harder and there is tons of new accounts who seem to be abusing the system. Also the the mostseason 1 wins I see now is people who have around 20 wins like me. No more I do see guys with 1000s of kills or 100s of wins.
At first I just thought they were alts who were previously banned. Started after battlepass and getting worse after every update. But Now I just think they are smurfing to stay low rated.

Can we please implement a ranking system so casual players can still have fun playing without getting beamed by twitch streamers every 2 fights it ruins the experience for the lower skill tiers
