I'm fine with SBMM as long as it is ONLY based on win or lose... No stats, no rank.. just win or lose.
It could be a point system, where in bronze you get 250 pts for a win, and lose 15 pts for a loss. Get to 1000 pts and you get to silver.
If it uses stats or rank, it will turn into a toxic mess, because players on a team will have adversarial goals. (You compete with teamates for damage, and you can get higher rank by passively hiding)
Wins only sbmm i can support.

At this point there's no reason to make a match making system at all. All the grown * dude that wants to keep stomping kids need to do is throw the game.
Matchmaking NEEDS to be a mix of victories, kills, respawn/revives and consistency.
If you make it all about victories. People will kill 20 players and suicide or leave to stay in kid's league.

Exactly as TrueDivinorium said.
Wins mean NOTHING when you consider just that. Noobs can be carried and lucky wins can happen here and there plus people can dodge going into upper tiers/ranks by simply forfeiting/leaving/suiciding to not win. So they would spend all game vaporising less skilled players only to kill themselves, let themselves be killed or leaving the game before becoming champions to dodge ranking up.
Average accuracy, average kills per game, average assists per game, average damage per game, average deaths per game, average respawns per game, average revives per game, win ratio, etc. all need to be taken into consideration if you want a SBMM that actually works.

I usually agree with this but in some ways don’t want to be sentanced to playing only try hard teams and players spamming wraith and bango 100%.
hell every game as is has one or the other some douch who only plays wraith or bango with 1k kills.
Waitin for a video video game with less easy buttons.

First of all, Congratulations on hitting 50Million+ players in a month. I was one of the first players who downloaded the game on the day of release. It was really worth the download and me and all my friends loved the gameplay. It was challenging, fast and interesting . Most importantly it was Fun. I spent hours and hours into the game in the first few weeks with my squad.
Although there's something that I've noticed recently. I'm not able to survive for longer than 5 minutes into the game. This is because of a lot of pro players with 2k+ kills are in the same game. I used to end up at least #3. But now I'm dying really frequently. No one likes to spend 10mins looting only to end up getting killed by someone with 1k kills.
I hence request you to introduce Rank based Matchmaking, in order to avoid this problem. I'm sure many of you'll understand this situation. Also there are a lot of casual players in Apex, who don't have the required skillsets to get 1000+ kills. I thereby hope somebody reads this and enables rank based Matchmaking so more players would have a much more enjoyable experience, like in Csgo or Overwatch.
I really hope this gets implemented into the upcoming updates, or they might be a drop in the player count.
I don't want that to happen. I love this game. I hope it gets better.
Thanks.

I agree that a lot of players will skip this game because of the stomping by players light years ahead.
A simple matchmaking system could be KD ratio based.

@TSF_VindictiV wrote:I was one of the people that believed everything was fine with matchmaking... until a couple of days later when you start seeing a CLEAR difference between the everyday joe that works and cannot play all day everyday and the "others". The game rapidly became frustrating for the "casuals" as those do not have much chance of winning anymore.
I can already hear elitists with no counter arguments and just spamming strawman fallacies like "get good" (try to bring objective counter arguments pls) but there needs to be a match making for several reasons:1)Noobs getting into the game won't enjoy nor will they actually improve if they get vaporised without any chance of learning.
2)Better players will not improve if they simply stomp noobs.
3)You have randos/strangers with work and responsabilities forming squads of casuals without any real teamwork as they don't know each other at all versus sweaty mc tryhards squads that haven't showered in the past 2 days that play all day/night together.
With a proper skill-based matchmaking you get:1)Noobs will be facing noobs giving everybody a fair chance
2)Average Joes facing average Joes for fair/entertaining and non frustrating games
3)Pros, twitch streamers and sweaty tryhards will be put together and the game will be much more challenging for all of them
4)You can even make a "ranked" queue/mode that rewards top squads with bonuses such as crafting metals for example to give an incentive to better players (or masochistic noobs) to play on there instead of the regular queue.
The argument of "people will be playing always against the same people" is bs as there is more than 25 million players on the game as of this day.
Also, everybody wins. Games will be more challenging, fairer, more rewarding and a LOT less frustrating overall.
The only reasons somebody would be against matchmaking, would be because he's pitiful and only wants free wins against worse players or if he's a noob player himself and, well, he's the definition of a masochistic noob lol.
- And add various training and practice mods with human players and bots and all attachments too
- add a full spectator mode from where noobs can learn from pros and cheaters also can be recorded
otherwise this Apex will die soon and only proos and new noobs will play it

I wouldn't be proud of beating someone who only plays broken wraith with her tiny hit box with a broken wingman. Hes good at the game he should be like shroud and refuse to use the wingman.
