Then by all means do leave. The game has 25M players. We are not going to be without players. If you cannot invest time to learn the game then play the game the way it is and up to your abilities. I am 33 work full time and have a family but even i have time to play at least 2 hours a day. I am not great but i have done my research and i practice. Every day i get a little bit better.
I do not expect to win. Like i said, people expect to win every match. This is not how BR games work. You will lose the majority of your games and maybe just maybe win some games.
Also sorry to dissapoint you OW kids but no BR game out there has a skill based matchmaking and this is not going to be the one that attempts it. Better pick GOATS and have fun in OW.
You keep saying you are pitted against the best of the best. First of all there are few best of the best people. Then there are people that have been palying BR games since BR was a thing, those people will stomp you and everyone else all day long. Why? They have put the time and the work to learn how to play this type of game. For the last time this is not OW. You do not have to engage in every fight and you do not have to shoot at every opponent you see. Pick your fights and the fights locations so you have the upper hand. Use cover, bait the opponents use grenades and your abilities. Most importantly never engadge alone in a fight.

@Karsot Yeah, cool story bro. You said it's a competitive game first. Do you know ANY kind of competitive game where complete beginners and champions and all the raffle in the middle are thrown into the same pool of players? Any? Why do we have different divisions in every single sport? Just have everyone play against everyone, some middle school football team against the patriots and some 40 year old dads who only do it in their free time against the Eagles, git gud scrubs lol. I'm sure they'll get better by getting completely destroyed with no chance of any tactics they might have to actually work because of the sheer difference in skill.
You can use cover and pick your fights as much as you want, at some point the ring is tiny, there's barely any cover left and then the team of people who have played shooters since Unreal came out and killed half the server by themselves and got all the loot will go in raw with no lube against the team that picked their fights, that's fact. And you think that's okay because "it's BR, you're not gonna win every game lol". And everyone knows there's nothing better for improving your skill in a SHOOTING GAME than dying in 2 seconds and barely being able to shoot in any given round. If in an hour of playing you have 30 seconds of shooting, how much better do you expect to become at shooting?
The way it is now, the average player will win no games at all unless he has luck with the other players in the round not including someone with ridiculous K/D. Which is almost never. I could start counting how often "introducing your champion" doesn't have a team of people with more kills than my team combined. There won't be much to count. And even if it is a team with no such person, you don't know who the champion was teamed up with last game if they're not a full squad. You have a better chance of winning by playing alone and hoping you get a random who is ridiculously good in your team than by trying to get better, and how long do you think those normal players will want to try and improve if it never bares fruit? Another few weeks? How many of the 25M players will be left do you think? How many have already left?

. And in fact, Fortnite was getting it but then all the twitch streamers cried that their games were going to be getting harder so Epic Games held off on the idea. As far as we know it is actually still coming.
That is really the only reason I can think of why ANYONE would be against skillbased matchups. Wanting to get easy kills because you're already good and don't want a challenge. Here we've got someone trying to diss Overwatch "kids" but those kids at least have the balls of wanting a challenge when playing.

I'm getting tired of playing with total noobs and leavers. So far I love this game but my interest decreases rapidly when such a game happens.
A week ago I carried my team into top 2. I got shot down by the last enemy, and I started crawling towards my teammate into safety. I was waiting for him to revive me, but instead he was shooting at me and was running away (scared of me not dying to his shots) as I was crawling on the ground. It was an experience that's for sure. Ofc we lost that match.

Yesterday I literally had a game when my two random teammates we so staggeringly better than me that when one of them and me died in a team fight, the third dude intentionally skipped picking up my banner when it was perfectly safe, accessible and close to him. I can understand leaving me if I ran off and died on my own, or if I had been trolling them in the voice chat. However, I didn't do that [Removed - CM], I stuck by them and played to my own strengths by sniping peoples armor off them from safe place since I'm not as good in a close range gunfight. As pathfinder I also checked beacons so the whole game up to that point we were moving ahead of the teams that didn't have pathfinder or had one that was bad at checking beacons. Matter of fact, the dude didn't go to the close by respawn thing for our teammate, he brought him to one that was inside the next ring so they wouldn't have to rush off as soon as he was up.
If that wasn't bad enough, leaving a match even if your respawn timer has run out makes it so you don't get the EXP you earned. So, despite the fact that I was intentionally left behind, I had to sit for 10 minutes watching this [Removed - CM] play the game waiting to get my EXP. Some people might say its not worth sitting there when I could just go play another game and get EXP but the principle of the matter is I earned EXP for that game so I should get it. Hell, most of the time I don't mind watching my team finish the game when for whatever reason they couldn't come get me. But then again most of the time that I die and can't get respawned my team doesn't survive another 10 minutes cause they're the same skill level as me instead of being so far above that they think they don't need me. I don't blame the guy that also died since he had no choice in whether to respawn me but I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that they lost because that other guy was a [Removed - CM].
[Removed - CM] or not these guys were without a doubt the most skilled players I've ever been put on a team with, they both got over 10 kills in that match (I think my best is 3 or 4) and had hundreds of kills on those characters compared to the 32 or whatever I have on pathfinder. I have never been left behind like that in a match with people close to my skill level because each teammate is an asset to them. In a game with match making I would never get placed in a game against and/or on a team with people that as SO much better at the game than I am that I get instakilled and/or viewed as dead weight. Probably 90% of my FPS playing was like 15 years ago on Halo 2 with people from middle/high school and my neighborhood, so I get that I'm not great at this stuff. I would however like to improve, the area I need to work on the most I would say is being able to simultaneously avoid getting shot while shooting the person that is trying to shoot me. I don't get to work on that skill when I die instantly before I have time to react or by watching a teammates screen.

@Karsot So you completely ignored my original post and go with fallacious "arguments". Putting a "bronze" lvl player against a top tier no lifer twitch streamer isn't fun in any way (beside maybe to inflate the no-lifer's ego or to make "funny compilations" on YT) and doesn't allow the "bronze" lvl player to adapt or to better him/herself. To take somebody else's comparison, it's exactly like giving a university calculus math class to a kid that just learned to add and multiply expecting him to learn. Flash news: he won't. You learn in increments. Just remember how you are taught in school/college/uni.
You also use a strawman that we supposedly all want free wins. You most definitly didn't think long before posting that garbage because, actually, that argument would go to the nolifers not wanting matchmaking, not the people that want to be paired with/against people of similar/equal skill lvl. the former would want to keep the matches easymode for him while the latter want a fair, engaging and exciting match.
The rest of your post is useless when you have a whole squads of randoms that, together, have on average 20 hours of experience with the game or so pitted against premades of twitch streamers that play more than that in 2 days.
You bring absolutely no counter argument.

I like the idea of ranked queue modes (separate solo and premade). I would even pay money to unlock this mode, as a way to allow cheater bans to be more impactful)
However, separating "beginners" (below lvl 20) is a terrible idea, because in a F2P game, since good players just want to pubstomp, they will keep rerolling additional accounts to pubstomp the beginner queue.
