So, it has been a real long time since I have played a game that didn't allow me to separate game and voice chat audio in some way. I use a surround sound speaker system, which I love, but the flaw is that it can be hard to hear voice chat when the game and voice audio are both coming out of my speakers. Typically, what I do is use a pair of headphones connected to a different audio device on my PC specifically for voice chat.
The problem is that Apex Legends allows no way to separate this. Other games typically do this in one of two ways: either the game's Options has an Output Device setting under Voice so I can select a different audio device to send voice audio through OR the game respects the Windows default communications device setting and knows to route voice chat audio through that.
Apex does neither of these things, so I'm stuck with game and voice audio both coming out from my speakers, instead of my preferred separation that I've been using for years.

So it’s been a few years since this post was created; anybody figure out how to fix this problem? My headphones are basically useless with incoming voice going directly to speakers and I can’t hear anybody talking over the game sound
