This feature needs to be removed or tweaked, is the most stupid idea that ive seen in a videogame that already had a SBMM in the Ranked Mode, thats the purpose of Ranks, and for casual players, there is a stupid Casual mode, that now, with your new * system, its just becamen in a Ranked Mode without rank, its ridiculuous, casual matches are not fun anymore, ranked its a hard thing, because you need a pre made squad or be a professional to succes, open your mind EA and Respawn, dont do the same mistake that you did in TF2, on TF2 we already needed a stupid SBMM for new players, in Apex we already have a ranked mode, for new people, in where they will be matched with people with the same level, casual lobby is for have fun, not for compete, you are ruining one of your best games, if all you dont remove or tweak the SBMM from Apex Legends, i can say that the 2020 will be the year in where all you will see all your stats going down, cause anybody will enjoy your game anymore. Thats how you do it, create a good game, and when you make mistake beside to listen your community, do the oposite. Well Done Respawm and Ea, you made a Nice game and you will destroy it.

Before this new SBMM system was easier to reach top five or win the round because everything was simple. One round was full of noobs, another was full of Apex Gods. Now everything is arranged and planned and the feeling you feel when a player with 15k-50k kills melt you in 3 seconds is just amazing. Please, do not get me wrong. It's okay if this 15-50k kills guy plays randoms but in 90% of cases, he plays with friends who are the same beasts as him 15k+ kills , this kind of "I live in APEX LEGENDS" players have to play with people of their caliber.

But the difference is that ALOT of people on this forum also asked for leaver penalty before they implemented it. So its actually kinda logical that the people they raged at , i.e the leavers, now rage back because they cant leave any more.
But noone asked for SBMM before expect for those who demanded special treatment as the precious flowers they felt they were. The rest of us got smashed by better players over and over again so we gradually could climb the skill ladder until we reached a point where we actually were better than the average player. Now with the SBMM, that literally means nothing since every game is like a ranked game.
And thats an argument everyone supporting SBMM just conveniently ignore; there is already a game mode where you play vs equally skilled players and its called RANKED. Am pretty sure that pretty much all of us who dont want SBMM also at least at one point have grinded ranked just for the same reason SBMM exist; to prove us against equally skilled players. But sometimes you wanna prove your skill against the entire player base, which causal should be but is not because of this SBMM.

No I think that the point of SBMM is to allow bad players to feel good and thus buy more Apex packs =)
If you are "really bad" and only play against other "really bad" players, your skill level is more likely to stay "really bad" than actually level up so to speak. Im not saying that playing with equally skilled players will totally stop growth, but Im pretty sure playing with players from all the skill distribution will make you better faster.
The skill distribution of all Apex players is most likely normally distributed, so IF the matchmaking is totally random and taken from randomly from players of the entire skill distribution, then there will be very few super pro players each game, and also very few super bad players. Most players would be around the average, whatever that may be.
But what do you think about the argument about rank mode since you are a pro-SBMM?

@Babbediboopi I do agree its a much slower progress for them to get on par with most of the community on skill but I think they did this to not push away the lower players who want to play Apex but couldn't because they would die right away before ever reaching top 10.
They could just throw the previous system and see how it goes. Maybe, maybe not. I'm sure they also don't want to separate the player base just yet with so many different game modes.
As for my take on there being a ranked mode, I covered this in other post but the gist of it is that you can now try out new strats and legends against players who are your skill without the worry of being punished for it (lossing RP/Going down in tier)
Allowing for you to get better with other legends and expanding the use of them.

but this is just pushing away any new player who wants to play the game.
