SBMM is intended to make you a better player. I think it should stay. The only people who I think don't benefit much from it is content creators, and even they should probably just use the opportunity to get better as well. Not saying they aren't good. Obviously players like Jankz, Chicken, and anybody from Soar are good, but maybe its a personal thing to me because I'm the kind of person who isn't having fun if he isn't trying or getting better. Playing SUPER casually and stomping over people who are completely random in skill doesn't sound like fun to me.

I don't agree with that.
If you're always going to be matched against equally skilled players, then there's no benefit to getting better.
Moreover, higher skilled play is:
a) more stressful, as you're required to perform closer to your peak physical/mental ability.
b) less diverse, as imbalances between weapons and legends become a greater determining factor in success.
c) more time consuming, as it demands an ever greater commitment from players.
As a consequence of these, SBMM is less fun.

I guess you're just bad at the game, then. And you don't have to commit time to an entire game. get some kills, throw some grenades at yourself, then go to work or wherever you're in a rush for. games have a maximum 18 or 19 minutes due to ring closure, and if you can't commit to that, that's your problem. If you want diversity, pick up a new weapon. you don't HAVE to use the weapons that are considered meta to win, more important than using those weapons is playing smart, specifically smarter than your opponents. same is true in any facet of life.
P.S. @ the last comment- I think the patch notes actually said that SBMM has always been in place, even from the release of the game, they're just making fine-tuned adjustments.
