@EnxoruYes the devs are employees, what difference does that make? Employees/employer, they can speak however they want. I wasn’t talking about ‘will this attitude get someone fired or not’. I’m just talking about them being humans so allowed to talk any way they want. The consequence is for them to bare. If I’m working years on something which essentially is ‘my work baby’ and someone’s being disrespectful towards it or saying that I’m a liar or anything, you think I’d let that slide. I don’t know how you are as a human being (not judging) but my pride will be offended and I’ll retaliate.
It’s the same as any other ‘artist’. Musicians, actors, graphical illustrators etc. Complain about their work, fine, complaining’s good. Downright insulting it or them and they’ll speak up. I’m not even a celebrity person follower and even I’ve seen it and where they fired? Nope.
If you are that sensitive towards such comments, just don’t get offended by it. You a freeloader, an arsehat or whatever they said more?
LOLZ you think that cause this dev/these ppl talked back in a way people don’t like that the business (Respawn) will fail, cause that’s basically what your insinuating, then you couldn’t be more wrong. I’d wager that even if Respawn chose to stick by this dev that they’d still be operating ‘like normal’.
You’re right about losing credibility to a degree... even tho this is your opinion. But many times it’s either that the replier knows what the OP said/doesn’t wanna know. I already knew what you’d gonna say, cause after I posted my reply I read your full thing and was like ‘yup, justified’.

"People in this country seem to take our constitution for granted"
No doubt...severely..it's really unfortunate how our future leaders are coming to be.

You can say whatever you want as a human being? Well, sure, insomuch as you can do whatever you want. But there are rules, laws, policies, etc. that establish restrictions to speech and action on pain of punishment.
Guy shouldn’t have said those things. Period. You can bet every dollar you have that he broke policies agreed to as terms of his employment. He was in a place of business, getting paid to represent a company. The community isn’t.
That being said, people make mistakes and forgiveness is the way. All things considered, in my opinion the words used weren’t excessively egregious and I don’t mind that Respawn is supporting him. But that’s just my opinion.
There is certainly a shortcoming of respect in the nature of online forum communications as a whole. I’d say that’s a fact, not an opinion.
Guy made a mistake... We’ve all read the exchange. It’s apparent he got frustrated and vented. He shouldn’t have, but whatever. Outrage is an increasingly growing bandwagon these days. This is overblown.

TBF if you actually read the conversation between the dev and players. Calling those specific commenters a$$hats was being nice. I personally don't have a problem with it. Once the community starts making threats and name calling can't blame the guy.

Seriously? Have you or did you read the hate and vicious things people were slinging? I mean I have thick skin but at some point it is acceptable to come out swinging. I totally agree the cost of the stuff is absurd however you deal with like an adult and provide harsh feedback in a respectful way.
Just because they are employees doesn't mean they have to lie down and take it.
