Ok, so I guess most people will have noticed by now that the little eye symbol that indicates that someone is watching you has disappeared in ranked. However, it is still there in normal mode.
And the very simple question that I ask myself every single time is: WHY? WHY does it even exist? Why was it even put into the game in the first place? I mean spectating someone has a reason. If you get downed incredibly quick or when someone deals you 9 shots with an R99 and 7 of those are headshots (consecutively!) and that was done while you were AD-strafing and around 20m away from the enemy, you might want to check whether or not that person is clean. However, when the cheater is informed about the fact that the last player is spectating he/she will obviously turn off the cheats. Maybe that'll end the game cause now that cheater has to use the crappy actual aim to fight but they won't get caught.
You're only favoring cheaters with this and on one side I don't get how this was even implemented in the first place but what I get even less is how it's still a thing over 1 year later???
I guess the regular players can just go f themselves? I mean the player base has complained about the terrible muzzle flash for MONTHS and nothing happened but 5 days after Shroud uploaded a video titled "Fix Muzzle Flash" a fix for the muzzle flash was included in the next big update.
But back to the topic: There is no logical reason to keep this aspect in the game cause as I explained it completely counteracts the point of spectating someone.
And if we are already on the topic, a death recap where you can rewatch yourself getting killed should be implemented as well. By doing that you'd eliminate any chance to hide a cheat cause even if a cheater is smart enough to instantly turn off the cheat after they killed you, you'd still be able to see it.
But instead, you do nothing. Instead, you simply keep the eye that only favors cheaters.

It's there to let the cheaters know their being watched. Only reason it's still in the game, someone at the studio likes cheaters.

@Zero-Loot5I agree in a way that the spectating symbol serves no purpose and just shows hackers when they are being watched, it dosnt bother me that much personally when Im being spectated but sometimes I have 3-5 people watching me after I wiped them because they don’t know the difference between a hack and aim assist but I don’t blame them Ive finally got used to using most weapons so I don’t have alot of recoil anymore like I used to and sometimes when I become the kill leader I will play like a sweat and do some crazy plays but that’s only when I feel like trying I normally just play to play until i become the kill leader or we are in the top 5 then I will try to win the match but I already have kill leader badges on most legends so now I just play for fun unless Im on those 4 legends
I think the addition of the kill replay would be nice like on warzone, I didn’t like warzone that much but the kill replays were nice to see how dumb my character looked when I died XD i just hated warzone because you couldnt hear someone right next to you camping in a corner but you could hear someone 300m away from you and It was just too hard for me to find anyone before they found me first so I just played it like GTA 5 and jumped in a truck and ran people over lol but Uninstalled for awhile until they fix the sound on it

i also vote for it's removal as when i have spectators i feel the need to entertain and i tend to play more foolishly.

I see people post alot about "cheaters" in the game (even though Easy anti-cheat verifies game integrity on launch).
I have played over 400 matches and have not once seen a single cheater. So I think the whole perception of cheaters is simply that - a perception.

Yeah I call BS on that.
First: You seem terribly naiv anyway. I mean your first sentence "even though Easy anti-cheat verifies game integrity on launch". Great. if it's that simple there shouldn't be any cheaters in the game. Anti cheat software is far from perfect. Even the anti cheat software of Valorant doesn't work perfectly and that $h*t runs in Kernel mode.
They exist.
Also given that you only have 400 matches I'd say you're simply not able to spot them.
I've now played 3324 matches and I have encountered them. Some are even stupid enough to just continue cheating when you're spectating like a caustic that had a perfect lock on enemy with his R301, hitting every single shot no matter how you move. However in most cases an enemy shreds me by hitting every shot but once I spectate them they don't hit ANYTHGING and eat dirt.
Or enemies that give you - while you move the best you can - 9 shots with 7 of them being consecutive headshots (with an R99 that is).
Also you don't get the point: cheaters exist. And somehow it has gotten worse. So in case you encounter one the game shouldn't favort the damn cheater. It's a simple concept.

I didn't mean to upset you. I see that you attacked my personal character by calling me "naive" (as an excuse to dismiss anything I have to say) instead of using logic to make a counter-argument. A common debate tactic, but not an effective one. Think about this: If 400 matches (which is a lot of games) "isn't enough" games for me to encounter a single cheater, then I guess cheaters aren't really that much of a problem then, are they?
Let's see some proof then. I searched the internet and wasn't able to find anything conclusive. Change my mind, if you will. I want to see your video. If cheaters are so rampant, it shouldn't be that hard to produce some evidence.

About the entire 1st paragraph: you really know how to * people off. I give you that.
Apart from that:
I never said that you didn't encounter a single cheater in 400 games. Dafuq did you get that from? With 400 games you simply don't have enough experience cause no, 400 games isn't a lot. THAT'S what I said.
Here is your proof:
A pathfinder (3 headshots the millisecond he peaks around the corner at a distance of ~40m while only using a DT and further you can see at the end before he gets downed how his aim follows the target even when it's already completely covered by cover - in this case the mountain):
A Wraith (at the end she's not even aiming onto the target, yet her shots hit; also a LVL12 with now 126 Kills, 4K Badge and 20 Bomb...):
https://youtu.be/u3MtjNUV8mg
A Caustic (no explanation needed, obvious AF; this one is older cause I simply don't bother to edit and upload every cheater I catch; also I can't catch every cheater I encounter because of the aforementioned issue):

I don't know if you're trolling or just very stupid(?)
There's literally crawling with cheaters in this game, and it's really easy to tell when they're cheating or not.
Users snapping to their targets, pinging opponents through the walls and hitting every long-shot possible while spraying with a R99...
OP has a good point. The spectator-count should differently be removed!
