People that spend 80 bucks for a skin in a 1st person shooter game ... Dont be mad at the system be mad at yourself . You know what they say a fool and their money are soon departed. But in this world in " current year" its always someone else's fault. No personal responsibility anymore.

I don't think it's about the disappointment. But it's also an interesting change to see people being enraged on forums because of overpriced stuff, supporting each other, but when people who actually payed a certain amount of money is getting tricked, some even say scammed, they tell them "to take it as as a lesson learned". It's unfortunate to see the lack of support for those who just accepted the way they introduced this event. I don't even think it matters on how much money you put into the Lootboxes. The fact that those who payed are now backstabbed, the money gone and the Respawn team not seeing any problem in this, THAT'S an issue. Because those who're laughing now about those who lost their money will be betrayed too, as soon as you are not part of the "bigger group", the "loudest group". I think it was overpriced and still I took a try on a few boxes. And I think for all those that actually lack of empathy in this case: Imagine you see a dress, a figure, a collection, a book in a shop. It is indeed overpriced, but definitely something you'd want to have. There is no other way to get this certain item and those who sell it to you tell you, that it'll never be avaible again if you don't buy it while it's there. So you buy it. And on the next day the dress, the collection, whatever it was that you imagined, is up for sale, because a different customer was angry that he had to spend such an high amount of money on it. Of course you bought it overpriced. You know that. But who knew it'd be avaiable one day later, for a lowered prize? And I don't think it matters if someone actually got the skin they wanted or not while opening X amount of lootboxes. It's about trust. It's about betraying the customer who just followed the rules they made. It's about not caring about this customer while making this decision, even though they'd have the chance to give those people at least a certain additional goodie. On top of that, if the customer visits the shop, the other people will just laugh at him and tell him to learn his lesson and value his money abit more. He does value it. We all do.
And that's why no one should try to teach someone else a lesson here. It's not our fault that Respawn changed their mind without caring about valuable customers.

It does suck for those that feel they got burned. Because they did. But, since season 1, ppl have done nothing but provide info and advice about not purchasing or spending $ in game because of the company's history. Ppl were forewarned. So, there will be a lot of " I told you so " Partially serious, partially disrespectful.
This I don't get...
"Because those who're laughing now about those who lost their money will be betrayed too, as soon as you are not part of the "bigger group", the "loudest group" "
The "bigger, louder group" is the one who hasn't thrown $ out for skins. There will be no feeling of betrayal. The only thing that would affect this group is if there were a pay 2 play season or pay 2 play maps. That's it. They may/probably will complain that it's not fair because they've been playing since day 1. That's when the "smaller, quieter group" can have their laughable moment.
Either way, ppl got screwed. But, this isn't Walmart.

@jumanjaydazedHey! Thanks for the reply. I'm not specifically talking about EA or Respawn. I just wanted to point out that there are very disrespectful people and they'll be in our situation too one day. Doesn't matter when or on which platform, I just think as a Community we should stick together when there's wrongdoing and shouldn't point fingers at people who were naive enough to fall for (in this case) Respawn. When the prizes were too high, people stood together. Why is there so much malicious joy targeted at those who actually lost money to this company? That's (what I think) a shame.
I didn't (and still don't) know about the companys history, whenever I saw topics related to them being money hungry I mainly shook my head, since it's a free game and no one is forced to pay anything at all. I see these kind of topics in all f2p games. But yeah, I'm wiser now and since none of the devs replies or acknowledges these kind of topics - and there are alot! - I won't give them any money ever again. No matter if it's two or 20 bucks.
(And sorry, I'm not an English native speaker so that's why I'm sometimes not able to get my point across )

EA " I dont understand why people see us as the bad guys"
how people with such little common sense get into positions of decision making and power with millions of dollars in their bank accounts is beyond me.

I wouldn't consider people who bought the packs idiots just because you were willing to spend on these packs, you couldn't have predicted such an epic backtrack.
I also agree you should receive a refund considering the heavy backtrack. Whether you'll get one is another matter entirely though.
Good luck though folks, hope you're successful with that.

Yup...ppl are real [Removed - CM] nowadays. They can just hide behind their screen and say whatever they like. But in the real world, they stare at their feet as they walk down the road. It's sad. Hopefully one day there will be a virtual/physical slap in the face through our screens! :eahigh_file:

You want money back? From EA?
:D guys, common, this request is even more rediculous, that the crown pack prices itself.
You fool yourself, if you buy these pack.
Also by that, you support their business model.
Stay strong and do not buy this packs, it is that simple.
Could I afford those packs? Sure.
Do I want to have the Pathfinder/Wraith/Lifeline Skins. Of course I do.
But I am not willing to support them for this price.
It is just not worth it, for me. But this dicision, everyone has to make on his own.
Everyone who bought these packs and did not get their desired items is trapped.
Now, they lost money already, but the probability to get the desired box rised, so it results in a vicious circle.
You should not expect to get money back. It was your own fault to spend money. Why would EA give it back to you?
