Being forced to watch a team mate run away from a fight is one thing. Getting a 5 min timeout and then another 10 min timeout for wanting to get another game is too much. I have better ways to spend my time.
I'll reïnstall the game in 2 weeks. If it isn't fixed, I'm gone. KTHXBYE

Are you expecting EA to be sad, or something? You're leaving? Leave. Stop quitting games, wait the 80 seconds it takes to time out, and play another game.

Well said. I'd say if EA should do anything it should be more punishing. People like this guy ruin the game for the rest of us.
That being said, perhaps they could implement some way that the remaining players can show that they won't be able to get back the downed player, so they don't have to wait.

Alright, I'll entertain the discussion.
The 1st timeout was for leaving the Halloween event when the drop ship was already leaving with the legends. The game was over. Since the animation serves no purpose to me, I left. Getting a 5 min penalty for wanting to skip a 30s of animation that I don't care about seems excessive.
The 2nd timeout was for leaving when the last surviving guy on the team ran so far away from our death boxes he was off the minimap. There was no chance he'd get back, alone, through 2 squads, with 30s on the timer left.
It's annoying how this game forces you to stare at a screen for little to no reason.
When you die as the 2nd last squad, you have to watch the end animation. You can't even write a proper thank you to your team for a good game, because every animation interrupts the chat and boy do they love to interrupt the chat.
When your banner is picked up, you have to stick around even when there's no ress point left. When a legend escapes on the ship in the Halloween event, the game results are in and the rest serves little point.
When the party's over, it's time to leave.
OFC, you'd rather assume it's about players leaving the moment they touch the ground. I don't mind that getting a penalty. I still think 5 mins is over the top but at least there's a point.

You are a crybaby who rushed and dies first. No wonder your teammates have no interest in resing you.

All timeouts are self-inflicted.
Take responsibility for your actions.

In 9/10 cases, whenever you die in close proximity to your teammates, your squad either
1) get your banner and runs
2) kills the other team and gets your banner
3) gets eliminated
One valid exception is if two of your squad dies real fast while all three enemies are alive. In this case, unless the third alive is a real pro, the best cause of action for the third player is to run and play for placement. This might not matter if you are low rank but at Platinum and above, I rather go watch Youtube while waiting 15 min and maybe only lose 6 RP (top 5) than losing 36 RP.
And in 9/10 cases when you die and the squad doesn't prioritize to pick up the banner , it happens because YOU went on a solo raid and got yourself killed. I talk for myself here; sometimes I get to greedy or reckless and get myself killed far away from my squad, but at least Im honest enough to admit it was more my fault than my teammates and that they dont "owe" me to risk losing RPs for my stupidity. Fact is that you can do really well in ranked as a solo or two man squad. Just play passively and wait for the right opportunity to attack, that is, right after two squads have finished a fight.

It's entertaining to see testimonies from people who weren't even there. The plebs never fails to entertain.
