when will we see a ranking system in the game ?
first of all i don't like it that i have lets say 500 kills with my character and i have to fight against people with 3000 kills.
and the other thing is that i am level 100 and almost every time when i go solo. i get two teammates with a very low level like i'm 100 and my teammates are 6 or 13.
and then i know they are new and they probably don't know how to play very good. then we find enemies and basically its me against the enemies because my teammates are new and don't know how to play. and the enemies that killed us are better then them and most of the time also better then me. because again i am level 100 with lets say 500 kills. and i have with me two players that are low level and probably are new to the game and not so good. and we fight against a squad that is very good have very high level and got something like 3000 kills.
Solved! Go to Solution.

i understand what you are saying. and i played also with people that are low level and rock in the game. but i want a ranking system because 90% of the time when i go solo i fall on people that don't play the game so well. or just started. and i don't mind playing with them and even help then to understand the game better. but you see the problem is that a lot of people play with friends most of the time. and most of the time these people are sitting on the same level and skill level. so then i have to play against them with two new players and its hard. now i don't know why 90% of the time i fall on new players but it happens and it makes the game harder.
Its because they are the majority of players and you're right the game needs a ranking system . But an elo by avg placement, not time played and not by kills.
Hot dropping teams who get 6 kills and place 3rd to last should not be ranked as high as teams who gets six kills and places in top 3.
You are also right that premades normally have advantage. some games have seperate premade queue. I still think regardless a ranking system per individual basis would be better then nothing.

I find level doesn't mean much. After this latest update, I saw tons of people under lvl 5 dominating. My guess is they got banned and had to make a new account. Some people just make multiple alts. Some people will never reach a certain skill level no matter how long they play.
Its better to have a match maker based on elo rating off of wins. or top 3 placement.

Average placement? So the players that play hide n seek all game go up against players that can actually play? I don't think you've thought this through compadre.
KDR would probably be a better way to set ELO.

I don't think you really understand BR amigo. Or maybe you just don't respect it cause you find it boring. But You really can't camp and hide every match and win consistently. Or even place top 3. Especially when playing with others of similar ranking. You will have to be able to fight as well.
The goal is to be all purpled out at least for that top 3 fight. No matter how you do it. BR is alot of adapting not just one play style imo. And alot of strategy and teamwork not just aim.
Ever look at the top players on wins at apex.tracker.gg. Wins and kills go hand in hand. But imo kills are only a tie breaker on wins. Ever see how the pros play in the apex pro league play matches? Last two circles are top 5. last circle is top 3. Every time like clockwork. Its a well calculated and designed map. Just running after enemies or hot dropping everytime might consistently get you kills, but it won't consistently get you high placements or wins, which is what any game is all about in the end.

In this game specifically yes you can come top 2 by stealth alone. Not overly hard since hardly anyone has a tactical mindset, they just simply spray their gun at a target and call it skill, so you can avoid players easily.
I've had my team die on me in the first min and then leave, so i've solo'ed it a few times to the top 2, not fun as it's usually a premade that survived, and i can't exactly sneak, knife em and prevent revival.

Ya you can easily get to top 3 if you drop right and move right. Especially on bot servers as you imply. Being purpled out for Top 3 fight is really all that matters. That usually determines winner.
But with ranking system by avg placement or top 3 and wins would have better competition and better teamates for sure changes the game when you play in a league at your skill level.

Agree 100%.
1. There should be a lobby for people who decide to quit after they die. Also, a punishment to their overall score.
2. Everyone in the game should have a ranking ( even if you can't see it, but it would be nice to see where you are on the ladder, even if your'e ranked 295,000.
3. From the pool of players who are logged in have a reliable ranking system based on KDR, damage per game, and knockdowns/assists per game. I think right now they have a rudimentary version of this, but it's not very good.
4. Then from that pool of logged-in players, group people up by their overall score, KDR, etc. Players should be able to see other players stats in-game, not just the displayed stats which are player chosen, and sometimes display rather useless stats like, yards travelled while on a zipline. Interesting, but useless. I'd like to see KDR instead of having to track games played and kills on two separate trackings. Also, assists per game, damage per game, and other stats should be a given, not a badge /tracker I have to pick to display.
Group players together and have them be able to see other peoples score. Give them a reason to rank up.
One of the worst attributes of playing with people in my lobbies is the predilection of players to quit sometimes before their timer runs out. I like how in ranked play those players get a handy 10-minute timeout. I think this is a great feature of the game and should be put in all gameplay. It detracts from the game when suddenly those players are removed from the team, and it becomes "hard-mode" when the remaining player(s) have to match up against 3 person teams.
I often queue solo, and I'd like to say about 50-65% of my games there is at least 1 person on the team who quit.
But that is another issue. The main thing here is that the lobby ranking system is terrible and needs to be improved.
