I have always been a defender of Respawns anti-cheat, mostly based on the fact that I rarely see cheaters in my games on EU. Just for the record; I never jump to the conclusion about cheaters just from lucky sprays or "suspicious" pre-fires etc, since I know fully well that also I can quite often 200-to-0 someone with one R99 mag due to skill or just plain luck. I always spectate to make sure that its really a cheater and honestly, Ive only seen 2-3 cheaters this season.
BUT...... I got killed a week ago by a 100% aimbot+ESP cheater. He knew where everyone was and he got 90% headshots in every spray.. He was lvl 27, 4k dmg + 20kill badges and Platinum 1 when I got killed by him . He had absurdly high headshot-to-kill ratio, like 1750 headshots on 340 kills on Wraith, which was the only Legend that the tracker showed. Only THIS is proof that he is a aimbot hacker; that number of headshots on so few kills is NOT realistic.
Anyways, I reported him and moved on, thinking he would get banned since I thought the anti-cheat easily would detect that kind of headshot-to-kills ratio. But the other day, I checked up on him again and guess what? He had NOT been banned, and had now advanced to level 42, was now in Diamond 1 and had started to play Gibraltar and Bangalore with the same insane headshot ratio ( 1896 headshots on 296 kills and 801 headshots on 130 kills respectively).
WTF Respawn??? How hard can it be to detect that kind of abnormal behavior? Think of how many honest players he destroyed in ranked, ruining their progress. Clearly your anticheat has serious flaws.

Hey @Babbediboopi
If you suspect someone of cheating, you can report the user.
This can be done with the in-game tool or on EAC - Apex Legends Report
This is the best way to report a cheating player as AHQ is not really suited for this.

Yup...annnnd, it will never end unfortunately. But, good to see some of us still report actual cheaters but for some reason have yet to be banned. It's pretty comical at this point.

Did you even read his post? "Anyways, I reported him and moved on,"
He's giving a perfect example of how frustrating it is to see how cheaters continue to slip by, even after being reported.

I know thats a canned answer but that was exactly the point. I did report him and so did probably all the other 6 people that were spectating him at the same time as me and also the countless other players he killed in his other matches but he is obviously still allowed to play. The reason why Im so surprised and a little upset is that Ive always though that the automatic anticheat worked well and banned cheaters after 1-2 games and the reason why we see them is because there are so many of them. But this shows that a cheater can keep on playing, literally landing only headshots without the automatic anticheat flags him.

I know the Anti-Cheat is in a rough place atm and I also come across cheaters once in a while but I think there is only one option and that is reporting.
Even when he doesn't get flagged yet I'm sure the Anti-cheat will improve over time and lets hope action will be taken against rule-breakers.
The thing is there are always more people developing cheats for a game then people in an anti-cheat team so popular games suffer from time to time from those invasions.
Let's hope it gets better in the future :P
