I think we should have preferences we can set for matchmaking and it should apply to all gamemodes. To not split up the playerbase, the preferences aren't guaranteed. The game will try to find other players with similar preferences to you, but if it can't, then it'll match you with whoever. To avoid longer matching times, you can also turn off your preferences. And here are two options I have came up with;
Jumpmaster: This option let's you decide if you prefer to be Jumpmaster or not. I play with friends that absolutely hate being Jumpmaster, so they toss it to me whenever the game picks them. There should be an option where they can choose to not be Jumpmaster. Then the game picks the Jumpmaster based on those settings. If nobody or everybody has Jumpmaster selected, it's random as always. If 1 person has Jumpmaster selected, it will choose them. If only 2 people have it selected, it'll be random between only those two.
Playstyle: There's a few different playstyles. But the main two are always passive (the hider), and aggressive (the kill seeker). These playstyles always clash, especially the higher you get in ranked. You'll either have someone split off from the team to go hide while you're looking to charge into fights, now turning them into 2v3s. Or you'll have the person that's always rushing fights, leaving their team behind because they want to camp. I think setting a Playstyle and then the game trying to match you with people of similar playstyles would be great. I've thought of a few categories;
So let me know what you all think. I figured four groups is the perfect amount. You have the super aggressive to the not aggressive at all with the two middle ground groups, aggressive but not over the top, and not too aggressive but wanting to always keep moving.

Sounds good and fresh.
Part about JM it is interesting but what if there will be 3 people dont want to be JM ? Or for example for me, at beginning of season i want to be JM because of weeklys based on specific area landing or kills, but when im done with Battle Pass i dont want to be JM because i dont have any challenges and i dont care where we will land and die ))
About Playstyle it is good thing, because it can be like starting strategy for squad and all teammates will know that how will be our playstyle. I think i could be great option!

I think there is a quite substantial risk that such preference of playstyle option would just even further divide the players of the lobby according to skill.
To my experience at least, I havent seen many 4k dmg, 20kill players that tells you "lets play safe and hide" in a casual. To my experience, the better you are, the more aggressively do you want to play in casual mode. So if we assume this is true, then such suggestion would just pair the lower elo players with each other and the higher elo player with each other. Sure, then the low elo player who wanna hide the entire early and mid game would have the possibility to do this but I wonder if the gaming experience would be a better one to hide for 15 minutes and then get insta-wiped the first squad they encounter.
The jump-master suggestion was very good though =)

@BabbediboopiI would disagree. I think it'd create more enjoyable matches for people. Because everyone would be on the same page with the same strategy, instead of having a single berserker on your team, thinking he can beat entire squads solo and not giving your team time to heal between fights, or you'll get someone who doesn't back you up in a fight, leading you to believe it'll be a 3v3 until you start getting shot at and so they run, leaving you in a 2v3. Now yes, could you get all the campers on one team and all the berserkers on the other, leading to an inbalance in squad skill? Sure. But if you're dying as a camper with your camping team, then you're dying with your strategy. That's the strategy you chose to fight with, and you'd probably still have that skill difference without preferences because you'd still be camping anyways.
Also, there is supposed to be a skill based matching system in the background, which I know is always up for debate if it works properly. But this could help it more effectively match people of similar skill. And, I don't think shying away from fights has too high of an impact on skill anyways. Are you going to have a camper that scores a 20 kill game? Probably not, but that's a very small percentage of the community anyways that can do that consistently. I'd fall in the Adventurer category, because I try to avoid fights until the end or until I have really good loot, like a purple shield and attachments. But I still like to explore the map. But I don't have low skill. I have an 8.5% win rate and a 0.98 k/d. But again, even with a divide in skill, there's already that divide. Except with my system at least the people with the same strategy are grouped together so you don't have as many people getting carried or leaving their team in the dust, thinking they're playing solo.

I am not arguing against the benefits of having people with similar ideas how to play this game being matched together in the same teams. I just know what an endless cry fest this forum is where everyone seems to think they get matched with too good players compared to themselves. "Buhu Im lvl 300 Platinum and I got killed by a lvl 400 Predator.... UNFAIR FIX SBMM" =).
I just think this will get even worse but maybe the benefits would outweigh the negative side. I for one would love to never have to play with players who wanna hide to win in casual =)
