I feel like the ranking system is a bit off, althoug it is not bad, it could be improved. Who haven't had a bad experience with random team mates?
Apex should remove the points for placements, so you only get points for up to 5 kills and a win. This should prevent people from camping their way to ranks out of their own skill level, and maybe even improving your experience with random teammates. We all love Apex for being a fast paced game, so don't reward camping. Perhaps 6-7 kills should be allowed for Apex Predators being able to pay the entry fee and lose the next game, alternately more points for a win.
Only a few could then reach predator rank and then it would be an honour to reach, right now there are some grinders soon reaching 3000 RP if not already, apparently it's too easy. Alternatly just add more tiers and increase the entre fee to -6 and so on.
You should also be able to be demoted, so players at Silver IV, Gold IV, Plat IV, Diamond IV and Pred still has something on the line and play seriously. As it is many players playstyle changes when theres no longer a risk. Camping diamonds getting hammered by recently promoted predators, which have nothing to lose. But of course this might just be diamond players who camped their way to the top.
A fun addition to the ranking could be that you have to get a win before you could be promoted to next tier, this would further restrict players from getting above their own rank and the win would also be important suddently. A demotion should then happend after you lose something like 50RP or 50% of the previous rank window, so you don't get demoted after one loss, and then have to collect a win again.
Wins should also be gloryfied more than just a badge and a number of wins. There should be some skins only available for 50 wins or perhaps use the military ranks and names for displaying number of wins... so a five star general has a 1000 wins, and a sergent has maybe 25 wins or what ever. So you can see in the killfeed that a five star general is killing everyone for chok and awe.
That's just my two cent.
