Early game. Mid game. Late game.
Point blank hip-fire, short range ADS, medium range choked.
Fast movement, minimal ammo dependency. (maximising room for grenades).
Highest alpha-damage weapon for peeking around cover....
Moreover its two-shot kills synergize perfectly with all the (already OP) small hitbox legends.
Not to mention the intrinsic 'attacker advantage' that Apex's flawed networking implementation grants to all the high alpha-damage weapons.
Up until the most recent patch I didn't use the Peacekeeper, despite it being powerful; just wasn't my thing.
Now it's my go-to weapon because using it is the ONLY counter to its laughably imbalanced effectiveness.
Its existence (along with the R99) warps the entire meta into a toxic 'headless chicken rampage' of charging in to point-black knife fights.
The new map does the meta no favours either; huge open expanses (that everybody avoids for obvious reasons) interspersed with compact multi-storey hotspots that favour knife fights.
The Peacekeeper (and the new map) are really tarnishing my enjoyment of Apex.
I long to go back to Apex Season 1; sure the Wingman was (and largely still is) toxic, but at least we'd have a better map.

@TheJumpingJawaYes the Peacekeeper is atm very strong and you really have to try to force the fight to a more favourable situation to maximize your chances whenever you fight vs it. That is, try to move away and don't allow him to stand behind corners and cover and strafe-shoot-strafe.
Still, I see no problem with it being a top tier weapon in its niche, I.e close range ONE hit instant high dmg, but huge loss of dps if you mess up. I think the main problem is the easiness to use in relation to how effective it is + the availability of it. Compare it to the Wingman and R99; Wingman is good at almost all ranges up to mid range but it requires some skills to use and an extended mag is a must . R99 is also very good at close to semi-close range but you need to have the right attachments and also quite much ammo. The peacekeeper share none of these trade-offs however. It's common, easy to use and you don't really need any attachments to almost max out its potential, just 2 stacks of ammo and u are good to go.
So I think those are factors that need to be tweaked rather than nerfing its power in combat. Maybe make the spread significantly worse when hip firing just like the mozanbique and mastiff, make it more dependent on attachments or just make it more rare.

I have done quite some parsing with damage in the firing range. Meaning i collected data over time on damage. So peacekeeper without a hop pure head does roughly 110 damage. With a hop on a head shot it is 160 damage. so that is a fully loaded hop charged up and a head shot to achieve these numbers. When testing the mastif i seen a 50 dmg increase. Peacekeeper to me is where it should be if you can connect a head shot. Body shots was roughly 10 damage ranging to 60. Being a shot gun going to the face i would expect this def being hop infused.

Gah, I'm done.
Peacekeepers are ruining this game. (on PC)
Tired of killing with them, tired of being killed by them.
Round 2 onwards 95% of weapons you'll encounter are: (in rough order of prevalence) :
- Peacekeeper
- r99
- Wingman
- r301
- Flatline
Weapon variety is completely dead, and it's ruining the game.
To a lesser extent, Legend balance is in a terrible place too, with the usual picks still dominating the queue.
Apex is in dire need of a major rebalance as this meta is not in the least bit fun anymore.
I'd love to see some tools for harvesting kill feed data, so we can build some metrics to back up this otherwise anecdotal opinion.

permanent solution to crap like this , fire the brain that thinks buffing peacekeeper is a good idea let him make puzzle games at most

What's also fkted up that makes the buffed Peacekeeper even more annoying is the client sided hit reg, I.e the "shot around the corner" phenomenon. Since the peacekeeper is a one-hit high dmg gun with low shots per second, this means that you basically can get insta 100 to zeroed when you are safe, all because the attacker plays with 150 ping...
Something must be done with this gun. It's to easy/safe to use, requires little attachments and ammo and it's not even rare...
