"I'm not so masochistic that I wanna torment myself with bad games forever"
Correct, if you love yourself just do not play Apex, because you are not a Masochist. Besides, your aversion to squads hinders the fun of others. You are not a good team mate, and your way of approaching the game as a solo player is detrimental.

I've been thinking about this whole debate and I have a thought and want your take on it.
I think the issue is teams of 3. You can have many duos that team up with a random and often leave the random to rot, even if they show willing. People then want solos so all they have to reply on is themselves, but the game is not built for solo's imo.
Now before I go on, one of my main gripes about adding solos has been the work and rebalancing required (and man power, which as mentioned is needed for the core squads game to move forward) and the fact your are losing "Apex" aspects like the respawn, revive, and legend ult synergy.
Now, what if the squads were made up of 2s or 4s instead (only pick one though so MMing is as unaffected as possible)? Straight away you lose the "threes a crowd" scenario and also open up the possibility of a "party" playlist and a "mercenary" play list. Play with a friend and you go to squads. Play with 3 friends and into squads. You could not enter a game with 2 friends. If you are playing alone, you go select Mercenary playlist where you will only ever be matched with solo players in a 2 or 4 man squad, as anybody partied up will go straight to the "party" playlist.
These solutions would not need a rebalance imo. It would require manpower and work, which I was dead set against for solos, but if that work was making the squad game a better experience then maybe it's worth it.
I'm just spit balling. I've only thought about this for about 30minutes before posting. I may look back on this as a really baaaad suggestion, but I thought it may solve multiple issues in one foul (sp?) swoop.
Sorry for a long post, that might be for nothing but hey, thought I'd throw it out there
*I've not proof read everything.. sorry for any errors lol.

I admit to being one of the worst Apex Legends players at the moment. I'm 50 (which regardless of discipline or lifestyle, will slow you down compared to being younger), plus I use an old 60hz (non-1080p) monitor at the moment.
Solos for me sounds like an opportunity to practice without having to worry about letting down my teammates. If I'm not worried about a team, I can relax and take my time so to speak and practice the things I need to improve.
I don't appreciate teammates who suddenly leave, but I find myself doing the same too sometimes, especially if my team jumps into a hot zone, where I prefer to get a bit more time (at my skill level) to quickly tool up (without looting forever). Yes, being in at the deep end forces us to swim, but again we still don't like to let down the team.
(Having said that, even an old, less-skilled guy like me doesn't enjoy babysitting a team, reminding them to quit looting or not stray too far out of zone, etc.)
Here, I'm an English speaker in Japan on Asian servers. You often find yourself unable to understand your teammate's language let alone the conversation. We also get a few sales bots from time to time which are not people, and they automatically disconnect upon the game start. In these situations, playing solos might be a nice change.
If people get enough practice time in solos, maybe they will stick around with their teammates more, too. Anyway, more options is not a bad thing.
This game is all about choices, different play styles and likes, etc.
There are no complaints from me really. A free game which is totally cool and is already now part of our culture. I look forward to further updates and will happily support it. I don't care so much for third-person cosmetic changes, but I love the idea of maybe one day being able to pay for different scopes, crosshair views, etc. which would not be a game advantage over other players but might make the game ideal for us as individuals as if we were visually using our favorite sniper rifle for example, from another game.

Okay, so would you rather continue going into games of three and find out that you are now forced into a Duo because one of your teammates actually wanted to Solo? It sounds like you want to force your ideal on others, which will only force what you dislike onto yourself. And before the thought oof punishing these people comes up, you shouldn't punish people who are just trying to play. Solos are good for practice, and seeing as we have no competent training grounds, I do think that not burdening two people who you didn't want to play with anyways is a lot better via Solo than any other suggestion thus far.

@The-Babysitter4U
I sympathize very much with your situation. Perhaps playing TF/TF2 against the engine would help? Perhaps TF2 PVP could help?
I do not believe that it should be a priority for the Dev to add an entire game mode just because people feel bad playing squads. Other games offer solo mode, and switching between Apex and another game would not hurt.
As a matter of fact improving in other games that offer solo mode --if you believe that playing solo would be beneficial to your personal gain-- would allow you to improve in Apex as well after a relatively short adjustment period.
I believe that one of the basics of Apex is finding team mates with whom you can cooperate. It is impossible to foresee and accommodate any particular situation despite how much effort devs put into the game.
Different play-styles and different choices are possible because there are different legends that fit well within a team. Solo would most likely reduce all players playing a single legend. The game is built around small team tactics.

@CTheCheese
I usually play with a team. None of my team mates quits mid-game because they get downed - or feel bad because others are a drag to them (add here your excuse/personal tragedy). When I play solo queue I just take it at face value, i.e. as a training mode. When my team mates quit upon death i try my best to practice. If i get killed right away, I will just hop onto the next game. Rinse and repeat. It is not ranked. It is pugs/mm. Nothing to lose.
I believe that minding what other people you don't know at all are doing isn't the best approach for soloing --IMO.
As far as training goes, you can train in another game if using pugs/mm makes you feel as a burden. Skills you learn in a another fps do transfer to other games within a short time.
It sounds like you are not happy with playing in a team at all, and try to have your own mod because you do not like random squads. Feel free to have a steady team. Or maybe playing Apex isn't for you. In the latter case you have plenty to chose from .

@Ge0hDude
The argument is about not what I want. It is about allocating resources to things that matter more than adding solo. In general those asking for solo have one reason --I want solo because other BRs have solo. Followed by a slew of personal excuses/drama as to why playing in a team is bad. It is the same symphony over and over, explaining why others are bad while you are the best player on earth. A diamond in the rough hindered by others.
The discussion is centered about not adding solo because it is a waste of effort. Plenty other games have solo, and it is not innovative at all. Feel free to play other BRs in solo mode, and Apex when you like team based effort. The game is centered around teams, and team synergies which would be lost in solo mode.
I hope this helps!
