I love you self righteously imply you're smarter than those making this suggestion and not a toxic waste of space.

I'm a level 100+ player.
I have 85 wins in season 1 as of two weeks ago when I stepped out of town for a contract job.
I didn't argue from this point because it's irrelevant to my position. You seem to think it gives your position more weight.
Spoiler alert: It doesn't.
You make believe that only two months ago you hit the ground running, understand all the mechanics and knowing the weapons and use cases. Cleaning up Dizzy level kill numbers with 4k damage a game.
Spoiler alert: you didn't.
There has been very times where the circumstances that I would give an out for with ditching early has occurred. Almost exclusively it's someone dying and not wanting to wait to be revived.
This is strictly toxic behavior. Although there are a few potential fixes, like a MMR system to limit the span in player skill, that doesn't detract from the broader point: If you leave early, far far far more often than not, you are toxic and should be punished. Period.
New players deserve the right to learn just like you did. You'll only be waiting a handful of minutes.

In my 100 hours of Apex, I've had many teammates quit, by reasons of hopelessnes, server issues, frustration, rage. It surely destroys the chances of winning the game, but allows for trying different strategies, so it's not the end of the world. It's totally understandable why most people leave early. This game is very fast, pressure is high, waiting seems like an eternity and breaks the rhythm. Players can get a couple of kills in a new game, in those 3 minutes "wasted" by watching their teammates doing an often poor attempt to respawn them, followed by dropping straight into an ambush in most cases. Personally, I wait until respawn happens or expires, some of my wins happened after I got respawned by my teammates.
I don't think a penalty would help the game. Forcing players to stay would increase the already high toxicity. I think it would be much better to reward patience and solo survivability. For example, for accumulating a certain number of respawn(ed) points or waiting time, the game could award players with a self-respawning ability or respawn them with some immunity shield, a movement speed accelerant, with a basic or their previous loadout, etc. Players that survive solo long enough should maybe get the ability to carry a third weapon and acquire extra inventory slots, after their teammates can no longer be respawned.
One thing that may help could be to add a patience / quitter score, by tracking the average waiting time for players that quit early (from the moment they die to the moment they quit and only if that happens before their beacon is retrieved. The patience score could be displayed in the teammate's slot, as a gauge that depletes and maybe turns red when their average waiting time is exceeded. This way, the saviors could get an extra pressure to respawn their teammates faster, or avoid putting themselves at risk for very impatient players.

@BoaFang7 wrote:I love how you get these idiot sadists on these forums making stupid suggestions like ban people and punish them for leaving instead of looking at the obvious flaws in this game that make people behave like that.
I love when people like you call others who bring a constructive feedback into the discussion "idiots", while yourself are unable produce any argument apart from calling names. I dare to say that implementing cooldown for early leavers is the way how to fix those "so much obvious" flaws in the game.

Leaverbuster for a game without ranked system? You are kidding me right? This idea can only come from a pc player xD go back to LoL

@Pan_Kalich It's not a solution though, I would still quit games if they put an xp penalty or a time out penalty, you know why? because I'm playing with randoms who are not on my level because the game has no matchmaking system, do you see the glaringly obvious flaw in the game?? If they added a ranked system and some incentives to play a full game then I would stay
Exactly, no ranked no point in having a leaver penalty.

That is something I can agree with. You see ... presenting an argument with suggested solution ... that is how its is done Something entirely different from your previous post "you all are idiots, fix it a different way"
