The progression is already so terrible it hurts, now you guys cut it in half?

The feeling of frozen progression could be easily alleviated if there was a "spin bonus" on the items themselves:
If you unbox an item, it should give you a bit of currency in addition to the item itself:
- Common + 5 Metal
- Rare + 10 Metal
- Epic + 25 Metal
- Legendary + 75 Metal
At least with this system, you're getting progression towards unlocking something for your character even if you roll absolute garbage for legends you don't play.
As it stands, I feel starved for currency. I'm saving up for a legendary and even after opening all of my crates + the founder pack's crates + starter pack's crates, I'm left with 600 currency and I haven't bought a single thing with my metal.
There's something wrong with this system and I know I'm not the only one who feels this way.

@Dryen07Yeah, anytime you have a problem with something you should just quit and never return. Makes sense.
You know what also makes sense? Criticizing something and hope they fix a negative aspect of the game that a lot of people hate.

You know what makes more sense give people everything for free in a F2P game in Apex Packs so the game dies from not making any money what so ever
The game won't die if it gives people actual currency to craft an item they want every few wins. People support games that appreciate the player's commitment. This means daily quests, weekly quests, special events, store sales, etc.
You can't honestly tell me that you don't feel starved on crafting material. I opened 48 boxes or so and I only have 600 crafting material.
We won 3 times in a row and were champion squad each time and all we got was 6.5k experience. It doesn't really feel rewarding to win. The gameplay itself is currently carrying it, but with such a lack of progression, I fear it won't hold up forever.

That's not the average.
Also, these forums are horrible: "Authentication Failed. Authentication Ticket Mismatched, failed authentication." It just deleted a ton of work I just made on this post... Here we go again:
Your 22 packs were above average in quality then. I have 6 friends who have opened easily over 500 crates. If you combined all of our currency together, it adds up to be about 3,000 metal. Only one of my friends could afford a legendary skin and he opened 100 dollars worth of crates. (Founders Pack + 50 dollars of Premium Currency) and he had no metal left over. Granted, he got some extra stuff too, but the loot table is so overly saturated with garbage, you'll almost never find stuff you want for the legend you actually main.
The above problem coupled with the fact you only open 3 items per crate, which compounds the problem further.
